I think it's kind of a statement. Although my emotional opinion which I can't change is that these people are all faggots and attention whores who pull pronouns out of their asses, I've reached a logical conclusion that you should just let cultural / societal expression develop as it has in the past (women are legit too, gays are legit too, trans people are legit too, and now genderqueer people are legit too).
