Fallout 2 especially and a bit less so in 3, Eden is down for purging the wasteland but Autumn would prefer to use the water to set up a power base for the remnants of the Enclave on the East Coast.

Can I get some Brotherhood of Steel lore? I dont know why but, they seemed more realistic in New Vegas, 3 and 4 make them the heroes but from what I understand, they're just isolated dicks who want to keep technology out of the hands of everyone else, which one is it?

they are isolated ass holes who want to keep humantiy from destroying itself again with technology. I think they started as a vault that had military **** and military personnel so they started with the power armor and lazer weapons.

some dude saw what technology, namely nuclear bombs did to humanity and vowed to never let it happen again, no matter the cost.

Nope, the Brotherhood of Steel started out as a group of US soldiers headed by Captain Roger Maxson. These soldiers were stationed at Mariposa Military Base when the bombs fell, and as I recall Maxson was horrified by the fact that the world governments actually used their nukes, and the terrible experiments he saw the scientists performing there (Mariposa was the birthplace of the FEV and therefore the Super Mutants, so that should give you an idea of what kind of **** was going down there). Therefore he came to the conclusion that powerful technology is too dangerous to leave in the hands of those who might abuse it, so he and his men abandoned their post and formed the Brotherhood of Steel, a military organization dedicated to ensuring that advanced tech stayed out of the hands of the common wastelander.

nice, thank you, I've been meaning to play 1 and 2, and then play through all the other ones and look for as much lore as I can, the vaults have the most interesting lore in my opinion

I honestly just go the wiki and read up on all the lore I can find, I love that **** . Prewar lore is the most interesting, in my opinion. There was a lot of crazy stuff that happened back in the days before the bombs fell, like the New Plague, the food riots, the Annexation of Canada, etc.

most are dicks who are basically like "okay we get all technology. if you have technology we're taking it because you can't be trusted with it but we can. if you disagree, **** you, we have power armour. also ghouls and super mutants suck."

some are more like "okay, technology should be shared with everyone to improve everyone's lives." and i'm pretty sure those ones were mostly wiped out.
