I read a theory that it was Sidious that actually killed Padme. Basically he was using what he learned from Darth Plagueis to siphon the life from Padme into Anakin. Which is why the droids couldn't figure out what was killing her (no force sense) and why Anakin stops sensing her as soon as the rebuild is finished.
We don't have a problem with Sheev being his 'canon name.'
Where you're being stupid is by insisting that anyone call him that. We all know him as Darth Sidious. He chose the name Darth Sidious, he was Darth Sidious when he was first introduced, and that's what he is called in most of the material. And, when commenting on a public forum, you should use the name that more people will recognize.
You're getting thumbed down, but not for the reason you seem to think. We could all continue to refer to Vader as Anakin, too, but we don't. Not because we're unaware that he was originally Anakin, but because his current and most popularly accepted name is Vader and it avoids confusion.
Who cares about his real name? If we use his Sith title or his last name, we all know who he is. Saying "I read a theory that it was Sheev that actually killed Padme." is ******* dumb.
I know it's the canon name, I believe it's even said in Episode 3 (Have to rewatch it).
When referring to Influential people in any regard we commonly use last names or titles, e.g. Einstein, Tesla, Hawking, Vader etc.
If the droids couldn't figure it out because they are't Force-sensitive, why didn't Obi-Wan notice anything odd, since he was present when Luke and Leia were born?
Canonically, that's because apparently there's an ancient sith shrine underneath the jedi temple. Palpatine used this to his advantage. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_shrine
now hang on a second, does that get addressed in the movie, clone wars or star wars rebels TV show? because Disney re-wrote Star Wars "canon" in preparation of the new movies.
there was one buff padawan dude I think who could sense a sith among the Senate in volume 5 of the clone wars, but Sidious knew what was up and killed him.
Actually iirc the reason she died was because Anakin's Force Choke caused countless microscopic injuries to Padme's neck and bronchial tubes, which were too small for the droids to even detect, much less treat - this eventually caused her to suffocate and die from oxygen deprivation.
"Medically she's completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her... We don't know why. She has lost the will to live." People who who are in frail health (elderly people, or those with significant pre-existing medical conditions) have often died after a trauma or loss in their lives. But I'm not gonna defend the prequels, it made the Emperor someone with an IQ of a million while everyone else, including the Jedi and especially Anakin, complete retards.
What is your degree in, poetry?! You sorry bunch of hippies! For God sakes, don't use the billions of dollars of medical equipment around us, why don't we all just get on our knees and pray? WE DON"T HAVE KNEES, YOU MOTHER ******* !"
That was super weak, they couldn't seriously come up with something better? Like the emperor secretly getting someone to poison her or blow up the hospital room she was in, that took me like five seconds to think up and I'm pretty sure they're better than "she's lost the will to live."
So what, she loves Anakin enough to put up with almost anything but not her kids to live and try and protect them from the dark side of the force?
I think they were trying to say she died of heartbreak because Anakin attacked her by mistake.
Could have also been a jedi mind game. the Jedi were not allowed to have relationships, It was probably some kind of lesson to Anakin because he went against the order.
Her death is one of the worst things that could happen, a jedi shouldnt know love because it can easily be twisted into hate or apathy, but if one does love the death of that love would be devastating and would almost certainly turn to the dark side.
Jedi have emotion.
They just don't have attachments. They can love, but not pick one thing or one person and say "this i love more than anything". They can care for something, but not want to posses it.
They can get upset, but not angry, get wary but not scared, love but not fall in love.
Its emotional extremes that are forbidden to them.
Very similar to tibetan budhism.
I remember way back when I read a Star Wars fanfic that reinterpreted the two codes and how they affected each Order, taking a bit of a literal view.
The Jedi were quite literally emotionless, and cared only about restoring the balance of the galaxy. The Sith on the other hand, were extremely passionate about basically everything.
Rather than being "good vs evil" like the original Star Wars, this was basically "reason vs emotion". So the Sith would throw themselves at something they found worth throwing themselves at, and often would get involved in conflicts and politics.
Obviously, the Jedi, who craved balance and rationality, would work to oppose the Sith and try to mitigate their effects on the galaxy at large.
I'm going to try and find it again, it was a good read if I remember correctly.
1: Bruh, don't take it literally, they don't say those things don't exist, they say they don't rule you. Read up on it on wookiepedia. Its not literal.
2: Bruh, the movies. Anakin says that they are allowed, even encouraged to love, just not to attach themselves.
I think i read somewhere that the emperor siphoned the life out of her and into him to keep him alive, can't remember where though but you might be able to find it if you look
see i don't get that, he wanted a powerful apprentice like anakin and was disappointed when he became handicapped, so wouldn't he want him to be powerful again?
His lungs and organs were ****** up pretty badly as well. The suit sort of functioned as a life support system, which is why he couldn't take it off for extended periods of time.
You need a large volume of gas to even transmit the sound. The explosion propagates outwardly in a spherical fashion and so there needs to be a huge amount of gas to fill that volume. Some 'laser' sounds travel a long way in the movies and so you'd need a huge explosion to create that much gas, hence a very damaging blast from the explosion.
It's funny because Palpatine was siphoning her life force into Vader to keep him alive.
The Droids that were caring for her don't know dick about the force. So there was literally nothing they could do. They couldn't even process what the **** was going on.
Now the question is, why would a medical droid make up some "lost the will to live" ********
"I am made of hundreds of years of technological research and medical advancements, but all of the people that have lived and died feeding my knowledge base have all gone in ********* vain because every organ is working just fine, yet this person refuses to stay alive"
The "mother" Leia was referring to was Breha Organa, the wife of senator Bail Organa, aka, the woman who raised her.
However, since this is Star Wars, the canonical information on this is completely ****** up. Up until 2013, it was confirmed that she had died during Leia's childhood, but then a TRADING CARD came out which said she had survived until Alderaan was destroyed.
tl;dr: It's Star Wars, and Star Wars likes ******** on its own established canon.
Medically speaking this is something you can quantify but not outright readily solve
For starters when someone experiences extreme sadness there is a release of chemicals which weaken the cardiovascular muscle systems. This makes the heart become softened and feel painful. This is why when a girl breaks up with you that you feel like you have a broken heart where there is an actual pain in your chest. It can become so weakened that your heart can actually break in half, which is known as broken heart syndrome or stress cardiomyopathy.
Also there is just something about someone's will to live that you just have to deal with. I've had multiple family members deal with individuals on their death beds and more times than i can remember they have mentioned someone hanging on just long enough for loved ones to get there before they pass. Other times individuals who should have long been dead somehow hold on and there is no real reason for their living other than that they are too stubborn to move on. It's not uncommon for cases where say a mother has sustained minor injuries but lost her child to just die for no real good reason. It's something you can observe but just not really treat.
yea, here we are, a bunch of monkeys flinging **** at each other compared to this movies culture, and yet we can do it pretty ******* well for someone who "lost the will to live"
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH,
ANAKIN STILL HAVE THE WILL TO LIVE TO SEE PADME, WHICH KEPT HIM ALIVE, AND HE WAS "UNWILLINGLY" GONE WITH THE SURGERY TO SEEK REVENGE ON OBI FOR CAUSING PADME'S DEATH.
PADME HOWEVER, LOST THE WILL TO LIVE. EVEN WITH HIGH TECH STUFFS CAN'T BRING HER BACK WITHOUT FORCE ALCHEMY (ONLY PRACTITIONER THAT WAS KNOWN AT THAT TIME WAS PALPATINE)
