I guess we'll never know.
Some people just decide to troll even after having gained thumbs on previous content. It actually makes it more believable that way because people can't call them out on just making a troll account.

I pointed out that the livestock-human relationship is symbiotic, which means that if we release them they'll actually just die off because they rely on us for protection, food and antibiotics. Most of the deranged lunatics go to tumblr. The rest go to /pol/. Every now and then they can build up the emotional fortitude to not worry about "triggers" or the JIDF and venture out of their domains to make the rest of us wish that murder was legal.

Letting them die out naturally.
Versus breeding them into concentration camps and killing them at a young age.

The population naturally declining.
Versus killing 59 billion a year through mass production and destroying the planet.

So what you're telling me is that genocide by negligence is better than feeding animals, protecting them from disease, giving them shelter, and killing them when they reach an age which is proper for harvesting their meat?

If what you hated was that animals are being poorly treated, then you could just be an activist for "animal rights" or something. No, you have this romanticized notion of how the world works which lets you view a cat slowly torturing a mouse as okay, but feeding a cow for its entire life, protecting it from disease, giving it shelter and protection from predators as evil.

I'm not blocking my ears, I'm saying that you literally do not get it because you have been indoctrinated into this bizarre worship of nature as being separate from humanity.

It would not be a genocide, and it would not be negligent.

It would be letting the majority of the remaining population die out naturally and live to old age under supervision.

I am sorry, if you want to refer to the abject torture animals experience, the seperation from their families, innapropriate diet they are fed, cagest they occupy and bodily mutilation.. as taking care of them.

You are too far in psychological denial to speak to.

Yes, because someone who has majored in business association and worked for a bank for the majority of his life can certainly shine more light on how animal meat should be harvested than biologists, neurologists, and other scientists who study the environment.

How can you honestly speak in such a way about the treatment of sentient beings?

You are just looking for reasons to remain in denial.

What the hell makes you think that they're sentient? They can't even make tools, which is the first signal that something even approaches sentience. Crows can make tools, monkeys and apes can make tools, but cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and other livestock animals can't.

This is not me being in denial, this is you being wrong.

See, this is why no one wants to argue with you. It's not because you make valid points sometimes, it's because every single time someone disagrees with you you start shouting "YOU'RE JUST IN DENIAL!". Has it ever occured to you, even in the smallest, remotest sections of your thoughts, that maybe the world isn't denying the truth, they just disagree with you?

I do not understand how you could consider breeding animals in concentration camps and torturing them, to be taking care of them.

There is no need to eat meat.

All their suffering is in vain.

In the wild, a cow would go about it's life eating, grazing, breeding, wandering until it is killed by disease, starvation, predation, or old age. What you are ignoring is that predation is not a quick process, like the human killing of animals is, it is slowly have the flesh and meat stripped from your bones until you bleed to death or pass out from the pain. Our method for killing animals on the other hand, is the application of a steel bolt to the brain using an air-powered gun. It is near instantaneous and nearly painless, far more than what a wolf or a bear can say about what it does to its prey. In addition, we also supply antibiotics, we shelter them from predators who would kill them slowly and painfully, and we ensure that they do not die of disease before we get the meat in our relatively painless way.

No, there is not a need to eat meat in the same way that there was not a need to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The plain fact is that while they are not necessary, they allow for a far higher population to be possible without widespread starvation. Meat provides far more nutritional value per pound than plants, as cattle graze naturally and absorb the nutrients into their bodies.

Do I support industrial meat ranching practices? No, I think that large companies often use barbaric practices. But my reaction is not to stop eating meat, it's to buy my meat selectively, from places that treat their livestock in ways that are both efficient and ethical. The fact that animals are abused is an argument for anti-corporatism, not for veganism.
