I don't remember what level I was at, but he would have been harder if it had been a more difficult area.
The radiation made the area obnoxious, and dodging his rocks proved almost impossible, but weaving in and out of gates and openings he was too large to fit through, and continually taking potshots with the laser musket, took him down.
Really it's a great metaphor as a Minuteman. Using the terrain and guerrilla tactics to take down the invincible giant. Aaaah America.
Almost same here, killed him at 15, took almost all missiles I had and a quite gigantic share of the ammo I owned at the moment. I don't know if that's the normal thing or not, I just stumbled upon the lake while roaming the area and the confrontation happened.
What is the level at which you're supposed to take him down?
I didn't have my power armor, or many missiles. I had four. He didn't give a **** about them. I just had to sprint to one side of the pond, shoot him in the face with Kellogg's pistol (A Legendary revolver), then sprint to the other side as he tried to hit me. I ran out of .44 ammo, but it worked.
yeah that's something I was terribly disappointed with. would have been very nice if there was a dedicated skill tree to unarmed attacks.
you CAN make a pretty effective unarmed build, just need good heavy armor. its boring to me though since punching people goes nowhere in terms of leveling up.
