I hate it when people justify things like theft.

I approve of the choice, but the fact that it took months concerns me.

I'll admit the neighbors were wrong, but you were even more wrong by stealing that dog. It's certainly not anything to brag about on the internet, OP. **** you.

>Original owners beating, starving and mistreating innocent dog
>It escapes because its had enough of their ****
>Found by good neighbor and given to a loving home where it will be properly cared for the rest of its life
Yeah, I totally see why the neighbor is pure evil T_T

A dog is not a possession though.

It's a life, you can't treat it how you want because you feel that's the "right" thing to do.

I didn't neuter my dog and hes cool. Is it a bad thing not to? He's pretty well behaved anyways. I always kind of thought neutering was cruel in itself. Is it abusive to not neuter a pet?

the point of nuetering is so they dont make unwanted puppies, to fill up pounds or run around the streets, if your dog ever escapes or something.

I thought it was cruel to have them spayed/nuetered, be put in cages, and have shock collars... but I have a wife and now I dont have any balls either...

Yes OP. The story of my Dog Sasha was similar.

We live in a council estate, In north-east England. Scummiest place ever in my opinion, Anyway often while going to the shop we would see this dog, Loveliest thing, it'd always come up to us happy to see us, But everytime she would be covered in dirt, Matted blood, Torn out hair. It was horrible to see really. Anyway over time she would come to visit us at the house and we would happily let her in, Eventually she just started staying over and we cleaned her up. Turns out her owners weren't very happy and came over asking for her back, We couldn't exactly deny them and just steal her so my mother offered to buy her, To which they refused. They took her home and of course, The next day we had the same scratching at the door.

You could tell she was abused at her home, She would never play, and any sudden movements near her would cause a whimper and a flinch, Usually ending up in her running out the room with her tail between her legs.

Anyway, After she came back her owners never returned and eventually she stopped the flinching, And warmed up, Just looked generally happier. Earlier this year she went into convulsions, Frothing at the mouth and shaking violently, It was lucky I was awake to hear her, so I woke up my mother and we tried calling taxi's to get her to a vets, but nothing was running that early in the morning (Around 4am) Eventually we just had to keep calling the vet and they came out to pick her up.

While she was on my lap shaking, eventually she would snap out of it. She was so scared she would just whine and whine lick my face and get as close as possible to me, Before going back into the seizure. We never knew what was wrong with her, She was old but, She seemed perfectly healthy...Anyway they came and took her and we haven't seen her since.

She was my best friend and I miss her so much it hurts.

Pic related, It's Sasha, The dog I loved, and her best friend Spud the cat.
