You guys have no idea of how happy I am not to be alone in the Artemis Fowl fanbase. I'm 21 years old, but I grew up with this series, and I've read the books as they came out one by one.

All we need is a movie series dedicated to the book just like Harry Potter did.

I loved it until the Atlantis Complex, it started feeling weird but i guess that comes with the multiple personality part. I didn't love it like the others, but I didn't hate it either.

I hated The Last Guardian though, honestly I've read better fanfictions than that. He completely undoes the theory of time travel that he had set up in the previous books and just the whole tension with Artemis and Holly turns into just a let down.
Time paradox was my favorite :p

There are 8 books now.
The final one being "The last Guardian".
There is a movie series of it in the works by Disney
(they're going to make it epic).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artemis_Fowl_(series)

Feel free to download some PDF's
onto your phone to read on the go.

All 8 books incase you want to catch up.

If you wanna support the author.

Or as most of us in the economy, you are having money issues, then
this can be an alternative.

Paolini backed himself into a corner by making Galbatorix so powerful. I didn't enjoy it very much, but I understand why it had to be done. Besides, the universe that Paolini created with the Ancient Language and how magic works is by itself amazing. Worth it.

I disagree. Galbatorix was sociopath, completely and utterly without any understanding or care for the emotions and suffering of others. What Eragon and Saphira did was to essentially give him full comprehension of everything he'd done and the agony that he'd caused. They pretty much loaded him up with every ounce of pain that he'd ever caused in one second. Now if that bitch ain't hardcore as **** I don't know what is.

i thought that made for a better ending than if Eragon had just become all powerful like galbatorix was. and how he did it was amazing. galbatorix had lost his dragon and it drove him insane, to the point where he wanted to die, but instead lived on setting the plot in motion. eragon used the magic to make him understand the pain he had caused so galbatorix got to relive the pain of the death of his own dragon hundreds of times to the point where he didnt want to exist anymore it was far better for galbatorix to finally understand how wrong what he did was and that the only way to make it right was to die and since no one else could have done that he did it himself. kind of like Darth Vader did when he killed Palpatine. after going so deep into evil, there was no redeeming himself in life, but maybe if he sacrificed himself history would remember him for that as well

I absolutely LOVED the ending to this. It gave me chills - I thought it was just so well done.

SPOILER BELOW--------------------

I mean, how else could Eragon have killed Galbatorix? Galbatorix had power on his side - Eragon would never have won with training alone. But to cripple Galbatorix by gifting him with the understanding of the morality of his actions - that was truly genius. To make one spell that actually forced the literally most twisted minded person in Alagaesia to stop and consider his actions, is, in my opinion, the best possible ending that I could have asked for.

It may be a bittersweet ending, but it's a beautiful ending. One of the few that made me tear up.
You can't say that Aria one day will go '**** all this **** and tradition I want Eragon to have my god darn babies I won't return untill then kthxbyewhOOOOOOSH'. But that'd be too hilariously stupid to actually happen.

Besides, Paolini planned new books. Not about Eragon though, I think.

These books are literally my favourite serious of all time
I have read each one at least 4 times except for the last one
The e ding was a bit of a shame though, it sort of ripped of LOTR

I read all the way up to Inheritance. At that point I couldn't take it anymore. The dialogue was so ******, and the way characters thought about things seemed like he was trying to force feed his readers. I think his story was pretty good, but the way he told it was not.

Concept: Incredible
Story: Awesome
Characters: Alright
Ending: Disappointing...

I was obsessed back in the day and the books had a great build up, but that "final battle" with galbatorix kicked me off the ride. It just was so anticlimactic and shoehorned in that it never felt complete. I thought the green dragon would have his own role in the book, but it just came in at the end all of a sudden. "Oh I have been kept secret all this time and I won't tell about how I bonded with Arya etc. etc. etc." Arya's character wasn't expanded upon either, which was incredibly disappointing. Eragon's leaving was just awkward. Murtagh's entire arc was very "meh." Heck even Elva's characterization seemed to change suddenly to afraid and timid instead of cold, freaky magic girl.

I can honestly say I've read fanfiction better than Inheritance.

But man I had the hots for Saphira... I can't be the only one right?

I finished this series last year. Could you remind me how it ended? Put in in a spoiler tag for others

I remember the second book had me physically shaking at points because I was so scared, and Bec had a great narrative and Fellowship of the Ring-feel. Slawter was decent, but none of the later ones stood out especially for me.

Series ended with the three of them that had the parts of the Kabash(?) the other worldly power combining and basically becoming a God. They met in like a single room, from which they must watch all of time, but can intervene, which they do from time to time, like Bec saving herself, and Dervish ending up surviving with the hot chick as his girlfriend. But they couldn't just get rid of all the Demon's, because they were linked, so the one demon that had been pulling the strings behind the entire series and pushing the three together, Lord Loss, became basically the ruler of the demons in return for only coming through cracks in the reality, rather than whole portals like what happened in their timeline.

You have no idea how frustrating that was for me! I don't have a lot of money to buy books for fun, so I would have to wait until they came to my local library, which was on like a three year delay. They still don't have all of the ones that came out a few years ago!

If you're in the US, they probably won't have any past Book 3. Nothing after was published in the US.

Let me love you!
Skulduggery Pleasant is easily my favourite book series I've read.

One of my happiest moments is meeting Derek Landy and I got my book signed.

It was awesome, he's actually quite funny and handled speaking in front of a room full of people well.

Got a personal signing and even a little doodle saying happy birthday (Twas my birthday the next day.)

I love all of Rick's work on Mythology. I own all the first Percy Jackson series, as well as the first book of the Kane Chronicles. What I really can't wait for though, is his series on Norse Mythology, which is one of the most bad ass mythologies I've read about, and is my favorite. Here's the exact quote "Q. Will you ever write about Norse mythology?
A. Yes! I'm planning that as my next series. I've actually had the idea for the series since 2004, before The Lightning Thief came out, but I've had so many other projects to write first. The Norse series is tentatively slated to start in 2015. I know that seems like forever, but I have two other series to wrap up, and books take a long time to write. I can't share any more information about the Norse series yet. It's way too early. But keep checking the website!" It's from this place here. You need to login to view this link

I ******* love that series. I have the entire series with me at college and I re-read it all before the next book comes out.

And whenever I'm bored and feel like reading.
