en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasian_Shepherd_Dog
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tibetan_Mastiff

Ones from... Tibet.
The other is from Caucasus.

They're just different breeds, dude. There is allowed to be more than one kind of giant dog, why would you even assume they were the same?

I guess there are just bears in both regions. So they bred big dogs to help take them down.

Tibetan Mastiffs' were allowed to roam villages at night to protect mainly against wolves, a far more common threat.

These dogs are straight up vicious. People should not be allowed to have these dogs for "family pet" purposes.

The same has been said about Pit bulls, rotweilers, Dobermans, German Sheperd and most other dogs associated with anything violent.

When it comes down to it, all it takes is someone that can train the dog well and it can either be a great hunting dog or a great family dog.

The fact that these dogs are just a branch of the Caucasian Sheperds shows that they can be used with families with great effect.
