Sweden too. Its called "för-fest" basicly means pre-party.. Its like preparing to get drunk, just to get in the mood to go clubbing. You never go clubbing sober in sweden.. or at least its not common. Förfest is common.

Same in Norway, we call it "vorspiel". I guess germans getting invited to vorspiels get a little confused.

In Finland too, bars are way too expensive so many people drink many drinks on the bottom before going.
