**sedativechunk rolled image** Some complaints (as usual):
1) I personally never liked that "Return of the Jedi" had another death star. I remember the first time I watched episode 6 it was jut kind of puzzling why it was in the movie again. Outside the the SW universe, I think Lucas and the writers just got lazy and the Death Star was an easy thing to add to the movie. Additionally it was also an EASY ship to do CGI wise. It's just a spear with a giant crater on it.
2) Does anyone wonder how the death star moves? They never really showed it having a legitimate propulsion source like rockets or something unless they are there and just to small to notice.
3) I don't like the "800,000" years thing for the death star. I read about that that some economic students figured out that number. I think it could be done quicker than that using materials other than steel like carbon nano tubes. The amount of steel they are calculating as well uses more steel that has ever been mined in the history of man.
4) What the hells up with the last picture? When the death star shot Alerdan, that shit blew up in .5 seconds. Like Jimmy Smitts had time to stand there kissing his wife in the meantime.(although in todays over-dramatized CGI world that scene would probably last 15 minutes long).

1. Blame george lucas, he had full creative control over it.
2. It has hundreds of sub-light engines along the equator, and is hyperdrive capable.
3.i'll give you that one
4. in episode 4, you can see a brief glimpse of a shield go up so, they would have had a short time to say goodbye.
proof is in the picture, you see that light bluish tint? you might have to enlarge it.
