Cassandra Cain, she was Batgirl for a bit, but then left the position to operate as Black Bat of Hong Kong as part of Batman Incorporated.

so the fact that they have dick greyson in the batsuit is why they don't have Nightwing.

dick greyson becomes batman? cool

you seem to know your **** .

why is Huntress in the Bat Family? I can't say I have seen her in anything but DCUniverse online and I don't think she had anything to do with Batman.
User avatar #17 to #6 - wishingwell (01/31/2014) [-]
She's been Batgirl when Barbera Gordon (the oracle) became paralysed - it was only for a single run (of issues) if i remeber correctly.

Otherwise in the comics she seems to have a close 'work' relationsship with the oracle, which would make her 'enter' to the Batman family fairly easy.
User avatar #18 to #17 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
so she is kinda sorta not really but technically in the Bat family.

this is for both you and wishingwell, i just looked it up and it lookss like one of DC's AU's includes Helena Wayne as the Huntress, Helena Wayne being catwoman and batman's daughter
User avatar #48 to #24 - wishingwell (01/31/2014) [-]
But i don't think that is considered canon (by any of the major writers, since she's mostly known as Helena Bertinelli - in the 'after crisis-on-infinite-earth DC universe' (mid 80's) storyline.
User avatar #49 to #48 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
it was the golden age arc, i guess all of what was considered to be the golden age series was in the same AU... earth 2 i think it said it was called. but as i mentioned further down to sexy, i really prefer marvel comics and don't care much for DC
User avatar #53 to #49 - wishingwell (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah and most of the golden age from the golden age isn't considered canon (fx black cat originally being a man).
But each to his own and all that - i've read all the 'most-read' of both marvel and dc, trying to figure out which heroes i like the best, and imo they're both good, but with different strengths.
fx i hate the New DC 52 art - it's all the ******* same. some of the reboots are great (Aquaman fx had a strong comeback), while others take characters too a new level, where you got to revise them (fx the joker - come on! taking your face of isn't funny, not even close to a joke - it's been done since the late 80's and it's just ****** up imo ).
while the marvel thor v.3 storyline was absolutely amazing, with timetraveling Loki, creating his own Asgardian-birthright and superior spiderman was great! - but didn't fill it's full potential (imo)... Not to mention the simply Amazing artwork on Capt. Marvel - so yeah atm. i'm prolly a bigger fan of marvel comics...

Not to mention that DC didn't publish their first gay-wedding (like 5 years after marvel, but still it was something) of Batwoman and policewoman-lover, because they were afraid to loose customers in the bibel-belt...
User avatar #55 to #53 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah, i think about the only dc comics things i have been interested in lately are: Teen Titans original show, Young Justice, season 1 (season 2 got weird but i liked how they added deathstroke, still weird), Arrow (live action tv show, i haven't gotten to s2 yet in that, also Deathstroke), and the batman Arkham series. (i keep dying on my way to fight joker after making the cure in arkham city)... and it sounds like a lot , but considering how much more DC makes, and how much more marvel stuff i like, that's actually quite a small amount.
User avatar #59 to #55 - wishingwell (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah young justice was great! But imo then Arrow is a little too melodramatic (without the taste) to me. The best thing is how they introduced Barry Allan, and that he now get's his own television series (and that they're trying to figure out of they really should cast the lead as Green Arrow in the upcomming Justice League movie thats being planned).

oh and i thing i HATE about the new 52 is how they DARED to change John Constantine (hellblazer)... - he was the only DC hero who aged in real ******* time! (ending his 300# long comic run in his 60's)..

Oh now im really annoyed at DC again!
User avatar #61 to #59 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah i could see that. i think John Barrowman played the bad guy really well. but the guy who plays arrow i have mixed feelings about for a Justice League movie. i think i would be pissed if they shortchanged him for the role because i like continuity, but he really is a low-emotion actor, i don't know how i feel about it... it's sort of like in ironman they changed the actor for Rody. i was not happy they did that but when i saw Don Cheadle, i thought he would have been a better rody in the first place...mixed feelings...

fancy **** .

gotta love multiple universes.
User avatar #26 to #25 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
i hate them, it makes things as confusing as hell... but i can't help that...
User avatar #27 to #26 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
it's kinda cool though.
User avatar #28 to #27 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah. i think that marvel does a bit better of a job with the multiverse theory though. for example, Deadpool kills the marvel universe: he literally kills everyone in his universe, then finds a portal to the center of all universes and swims to a **** ton of alternate universes. killing everyone inside.
User avatar #54 to #28 - wishingwell (01/31/2014) [-]
I like the Marvel Zombie-verse storyline better! Much more fun imo!
User avatar #57 to #54 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
dead-head... i should finish reading that. it was funny and he kept trying to steal deadpool's body.
User avatar #29 to #28 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
damn, Deadpool is hardcore.

well most of the universes he's in he is.
hinting at Wolverine Origin
User avatar #31 to #29 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah, that was ******** . but i don't blame ryan reynolds. take for example the scene in the elevator. ryan reynolds i actually think will be great as deadpool when the deadpool movie finally gets funding, the other nice thing about him is that he has signed his contract stating that he has to be deadpool when they make the movie and that they have to stay true to the origin story. in addition i have watched a couple interviews with ryan reynolds and he knows what's up.he stated in one of his interviews that "Deadpool knows he's in a movie, knows he's in a game, {so portraying that is important to me}" (I don't recall the last half but it was something along those lines)...
User avatar #33 to #31 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
you know what's really good. The Wolverine Origin Game. that ****** just sweet as potatoes in sunglasses.

the gameplay is awesome and they barely care about the ****** story and focuses on gameplay.

Like there's flashbacks from the Africa mission and at the last one they introduce Wade he kills three dudes and that's it.

and at the end of the game they introduce him by him coming out of the elevator and Wolverine going "Wade is that you?" and then the final boss fight starts.

which they just cut Sabertooth out of because they felt like it.
User avatar #34 to #33 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
interesting...
User avatar #35 to #34 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah, and the boss fight is easy. you just counter a few times to take down his health three times. that's optional though since it's an actual fight. but I always died at the second part on top of the silo because he would cyclops the **** out of parts of it so I fell down.

one other thing that is cool is that during loading screens they give you facts and lines from comics.
#38 to #35 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
i see. i actually cosplay as deadpool. these are some pics from an event i did for new years. it was a formal event so you had to dress how you thought your character would dress formally.
User avatar #40 to #38 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
that sounds awesome. I hope to one day go to conventions and **** when I get older and start earning moneyz.
#41 to #40 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
yeah... usually you can throw together cosplays from just clothes that you have. i put a lot more effort and money into mine because i wanted it to last a while. so i have thicker higher quality gear. the other thing i need to do for my standard cosplay is try to find some red cargo pants with black accents, because i don't do spandex. the other reason is that my pants are too short now and i need new ones...
User avatar #44 to #41 - sexyhimself (01/31/2014) [-]
fancy pants.
User avatar #11 to #6 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
she's in Arrow, the live action tv adaptation of Green Arrow. but i still don't see how that puts her in the bat family...
User avatar #16 to #11 - sladee (01/31/2014) [-]
I have a feint memory of her being trained by batman or something, i may be wrong tho. I'm not a comic person
User avatar #21 to #16 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
so according to wikipedia one of their canon au's is she is helena wayne, the daughter of batman and catwoman. the one i mentioned in Arrow is Helena Bertinelli, a different universe and different story-arc
User avatar #22 to #21 - sladee (01/31/2014) [-]
Atleast it kinda explains why she's there.
User avatar #23 to #22 - faithrider (01/31/2014) [-]
