Used the Halberd upgraded with lightning and the Heide spear w/ raw for tight corridors for my first playthrough. For some reason I don't understand, I've gone to a caestus and claw combo for NG+

It's more of a minimax than anything. Enough attunement to get 5 slots, 50 intelligence (Which scales both my sorceries and my zwei due to the Enchanted upgrade) and the rest between Vitality and Endurance. And then super light armor mixed with the cloranthy ring and the dark wood grain ring, to allow for ninja flipping. A grass crest sheild on there too, and mask of the child, for maximum stamina regen to use with the dragon headstone (When needed only) as well as basically limitless evasiveness and attacks (for those pesky dex builds) Because why not.

kiratheunholy (05/13/2015) [-] Actually dead-angling still works with some large weapons, it's just not first-hit dead-angling but you can change directions almost 180 between swings which makes for some decent back protection.
