That is unlikely...unless you didn't go to a state accredited college. Most state colleges have agreements with state-run universities.

Whether you did or didn't contact your academic adviser and ask them what institutions they have articulation agreements with.

If they are absolute idiots you are going to have to work things out on your own. First check as many universities as you can...they should have transfer credit directory on their site. If not call them and ask.

Even if they don't OFFICIALLY accept credits from another college, they can do a syllabus examination - and basically determine what classes they can accept on a case by case basis. They do this for pretty much every international student who wants to study in the US, so it isn't new to them.

The most I have ever heard of someone losing is about a semester of work. Now if you aren't American...well this may or may not apply to you. It doesn't hurt to check.

My advisor's an idiot, Counseling told me it would transfer before i even started, thats why its my degree path. The schools accredited. The classes that match up will transfer, but the ones that dont wont mean squat. The degree was supposed to fully transfer and make me a junior, in a comparable program at a 4 year uni

Ah, you should have checked your transfer equivalencies yourself. As a matter of fact they WILL all transfer. However classes that don't match up with anything will just be tossed under the electives category.

You will still be a Junior by hours; university isn't like high school. Some people are seniors for 2-3 years before they actually graduate.

However, I highly doubt you will lose that many courses. Pretty much every college/university in the united states takes similar courses in the first two years. English, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology/Sociology, etc.

You shouldn't lose anything except stuff like student success, health, etc.

Have you talked face-to-face with university admission advisers yet? (at multiple universities, with transcripts in hand)

That's my next step, im going to be talking to the people at the school i want to go to, since my school doesnt know anything.
The problem i see, is that my degree is INformaiton systems, but my school focuses on merging busiuness with IT, emphasis on business. Classes like Business psychology, accounting, and business, were required, by my school. A lot of the schools around here (im finding out) are Technical focuss degrees, where its more programming and design etc.

You are right about the general studies, i shouldn't loose any of those, so thats good.

The problem is, according to my school and that school's website the program im in, doesnt exist their. The program im in is really oddly structured and doesnt match up to most schools around here.
