Also, here's a funny thing to try out. If anyone has an old CRT screen and a camera capable of recording really high framerates (100+), record a video of the screen, play it back in uber slowmotion and enjoy your epilepsy.
Yep. Same thing with fans, why we generally don't percieve them in motion, prop blades, and such. Even out eyes have a "refresh rate" caused by micromovements and our cognition systems. "His vision is based on motion" lol Jurassic nope, ours is too. If your eyes stab absolutely still and everything else does, you'd percieve none of it... We are, at our base, predators, and movement is SUPPOSED to be basic to human existence.
My gf and I were crossing the street and some asshole hit her going at least 50 on a 25 over a hill. Luckily I pulled her back in time so the car only hit her leg. They took off and left. She ran after them on her elephant foot. We called the police and he gets there her leg is propped up and hookah pipe in her mouth... Weird night.
I mean, the idiot driver clearly had a red light, so the passenger was in the right here. Driver should have stopped. He had a good amount of time where it was red before he sped past, where he COULD have stopped.
Weirdly enough, according to the lawyer text I could barely understand about who has the right of way, no one does. Even at red lights.
I think the intent of the lawyer text was to make it your responsibility to always check. Not saying you're wrong since laws differ everywhere but just putting this out there.
Unless you're slavic, which, judging by the buildings, these guys are. We're taught from a young age to expect people to break the law and act like jackasses. Heck, my drivers' course had a part about what to do if a crash is inevitable, so we minimize the damage. Stuff like "Aim for the engine", "Don't swerve to the side too hard", "Hit the break AND switch to a lower gear". Even when you're in your right, you should still be careful. Drunk drivers and idiots don't give a **** who has the right of way.
Traffic light is probably flickering at 50/60Hz. Camera shutter is at some other speed where it sometimes takes frames in between when the light is on and when it's off.
I don't think that's really possible. I took a screenshot of the video when the car's license plate when it was closest to the camera, and even then it's still too blurry to be able to read it properly.
Another good reason why you shouldn't skate across crosswalks.
Been skating for years. Even if you are 100% confident you will not fall some dumbass in a car can still hit you while you are in the middle of the road. On foot you can react faster and prevent possible injury to yourself.
HOLY **** ! that tire was ******* two inches away from his leg, the noses on boards are only like 2-6 inches long. but he still has the front of his board, lucky.
Im going to guess the traffic lights are flashing like that because it's a north american camera in europe or vise versa or something like that. I suck ass at explaining sciency **** so watch this video They could also be ****** street lights, i dont know.
Something about the lights never change unless someone presses the crosswalk button. The also switch when fire engines and such start flyinf by.Normally they blink slower so im thinking somethings ***** with the bulbs
