Try adding high fat foods to your diet/meals. A friend of mine bulks on a 7000kcal diet every day, almost half of those calories come from olive oil (0.1 liter of olive oil is 1000kcal) then you have stuff like creme fraiche (350kcal/100ml) and nuts which have over 600kcal per 100g
User avatar #36 to #30 - floran (12/08/2015) [-]
peanuts included in the 600kcal per 100g thing?
#37 to #36 - snellthxreference (12/08/2015) [-]
Peanuts have roughly 600kcal per 100g
Creme Fraiche has roughly 350kcal per 100ml
Olive oil has roughly 900kcal per 100ml

You say you can't eat a lot of food yes?

100g of nuts is nothing.. I'm sure anyone can eat 100g of nuts, and that's 600kcal right there.

whenever you cook your meals, make sure to use loads of olive oil and if you're making tacos, enchiladas, indian food, or whatever, make sure to add lots of creme fraiche.

Three years ago I went crazy on a bulk which I held out for about 1 year. Started at 72kg. The last two years I've been maintaining my weight which is 90kg (slightly less body fat than I started with at 72kg)

Diet looked something like this:

7am : 200g oatmeal mixed with 400ml of whole milk
11 am: 400g chicken filet with 100g rice and 200g spinach
3pm: 100g peanuts + PWO shake
5pm: 2 banans + protein shake
6pm: 300g lean beef with 500g potatoes
8pm: 300g cottage cheese with jam
10 pm: 2 scoops of whey mixed with 0.5L milk

Just to make things clear. Have been training for 7 years:

Started out at 61kg in 2008 and ended up at 90kg in 2015

i got sick that way and cant eat almost anything without without pain in the stomach.

Nuts and seeds are amazing, both are roughly 50% fat and 20% protein.

Cans of tuna are also good, I prefer the brine over oil, but get what you can. One can is about 30g of protein, which some people claim is the most that can be absorbed in one sitting. May not be true, but that's what they claim.

If you can, try and replace things like rice and potatoes with lentils, it has about 4x the protein.

Remember, quality over quantity, wikipedia says instant noodles have 9g of protein. 1 boiled egg has about 14g.

Work on eating larger meals and snack like a mother ****** between them. You're gonna be uncomfortably to painfully full and gassy as **** for a while and take epic dumps, I mean the kind you have to break with the ******* plunger... . That was the only way I was able to meet my caloric intake when I began. Stomach gains are a ******* pain at first. Also snell has the right idea.

Start taking GHRP6 and MOD GRF 1-29 if you don't have the balls to force more food into your gut on your own to grow.. The GHRP will make you eat everything in your entire house. Not literally but it turns you into a food fiend.

Machines are fine, unless your make your every workout session based around them.

But aye, free weights for life buddy.

This. Nice to have some agility mixed in with the muscles. Kinda silly to make Hulk Hogan look scrawny if you can't scratch the back of your head as a result.

Machine **** boi's can have their strange stingy contraptions as long as they stay away from the free weights room/area

Also sometimes remember that genetically you may not ever reach that goal. You could get ripped as **** , but some people just tend to get ****** over by genes.

I mean... you can be a 5'4" lardass... and if you worked out you'll never look like this.... instead you'll wind up looking like a dwarf from lord of the rings.

It's not just about height. Big role is played by metabolism. Some people can put on weight easily and lose it with no problem, and some people have difficulty getting rid of unnecesary pounds. There also those, who can hardly get any fat, but no matter how much they train, they will never be as muscled as a guy who fights bears bare-handed on a daily basis.
#33 to #16 - wanpanman (12/08/2015) [-]
Im mesomorphic I used to be in shape so i know now. but i like to lie about being an endomorph now Ive become a fat **** .
#24 to #16 - anon (12/08/2015) [-]
im endormorph. i gain fat easy as **** but also, fortunately, like mesomorphs, i gain muscle easy. also, im sorry for you ectomorphs out there... ik its hard to gain muscles, but keep working at it and one day you can still be strong af

unless you are a filthy elf-lover

At the same time a ripped 5'4 guy is going to look better than a 5'4 fat boy.

Plus training is really good stress relief, generally makes you happier if you can manage it

>be lifting yesterday
>first time doing 170lbs bench press
>have some trouble with it, but can still manage
>4th set last rep
>can't get the bar off me
>not crushing me or anything just can't push it off me
>safety bar is to low to rest the bar on.
>let the plates off one side
>they come crashing down
>sit there thinking about what just happened for a while
>reload the bar with exact weights
>finish 5th set of 5 reps
>have trouble with my last rep again, but manage to push it all the way up

Kinda worried about tomorrow since i'm going to be trying it again. got me kinda down because it just made me feel so weak, but it's also motivating me since i found my new limit for the next week or two depending on how tomorrow goes.
User avatar #20 to #17 - MatthewsGauss ONLINE (12/08/2015) [-]
give yourself time to rest, you dont want to use the same muscles in such a short time period. I'd rec doing the same muscle group twice a week.
User avatar #23 to #17 - nanako (12/08/2015) [-]
why are you benchpressing solo. This is why you have a spotter.

You do not benchpress alone

i mean im no where as skinny as that guy but im still fairly slim. ive been working out for about 3 months and i cant seem to gain much mass. i definitely have gained some definition and i have been able to lift more recently but no matter how much i eat i cant really gain the weight. my body wont let me
User avatar #21 to #9 - archdarck ONLINE (12/08/2015) [-]
Don't eat only when you are hungry, eat as soon as you are no longer full. That's how I fixed my appetite and gained weight, might work for you too.
User avatar #26 to #9 - KEpToK (12/08/2015) [-]
As these other blokes pointed out, you need more mass. Your body can't turn skin and bones into bulging muscles.
User avatar #13 to #9 - macross ONLINE (12/08/2015) [-]
well what do you do in the gym? please dont tell me you are one of the people who dont know what they are doing and just do machine circuits and DB curls... because those people end up looking exactly the same the first day they came into a gym.
User avatar #41 to #13 - trisketthebiskit (12/09/2015) [-]
well no the only machine i use is for chest presses because my right shoulder is a bit ****** up so benching hurts. i use free weights usually starting. with 3 sets of 12 shrugs with 2 40's. followed by 2 sets of 10 deltoid straight armed lifts. a few sets of 10 curls with 25's or 30's.dips and pull ups usually about 20 of each or at least i try. then a lot of standard stuff like push ups and sit ups around 40 of each sometimes more sit ups. i run too and use the elliptical
User avatar #42 to #41 - macross ONLINE (12/09/2015) [-]
in order have a good physique and a well balanced body you should do the main 4 compound lifts.
#11 to #9 - anon (12/08/2015) [-]
lol 3 months insta mass. buddy it takes much MUCH longer
User avatar #40 to #11 - trisketthebiskit (12/09/2015) [-]
well im not exactly expecting to be mr. ******* universe dude. any anount of increase in even weight would be nice. like i said i have gained a little weight and definition of the muscles i already have. i suppose just do as the other guys said and just eat more and maybe heavier protein intake
