Well, define unpopular. If "unpopular" means less than half of the people believe it, then OP is right. If those comps reach the front page, than over 50% of thumbs must be green.

You're just stretching (what were originally single) pixels.
Windows will gladly do that for you when you go to set an image as a wallpaper.
The problem is that the quality will be ass.
Yeha, no, like I thought, it's just stretching the image. It's impossible to make a small image bigger without losing quality, unless its a ****** vector. You must have the eyes of a casul if you can't notice it.
1920x1080 or bigger... Larger images always make better wallpapers as they can be resized to fit any screen. Smaller images look **** when stretched across a screen.
