Yes, and he lost his first one when Maul kicked it down the shaft, second one he lost when captured in II, then the temp one they threw to him was destroyed by Dooku.

If he was truly lying to protect Luke, he would've said Anakin died by natural causes rather than Vader killing Anakin. Telling Luke that will make Luke hate Vader, luring him to the dark side. This will also make Luke want to fight Vader, a fight that he cannot win since he barely even learned anything about the Force yet.
