Electric pulses from the sleeve keep it beating, preventing heart attacks and failure. Of course, it needs batteries.

I'm sure it does it's just that there's a bunch of other things that could kill you other than your heart stopping.
#176 to #5 - anon (05/20/2015) [-]
That's true, except that heart problems are a large cause of death.
#292 to #176 - amuzen ONLINE (05/20/2015) [-]
yeah I mean, I'm not saying it's worthless or anything like that I'm just saying that keeping a heart beating perpetually isn't really all that doubt worthy since that's not like immortality or anything.
Like don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's great and could potentially save millions of lives, it's just not as all powerful as it sounds.
User avatar #99 to #5 - EdwardNigma (05/19/2015) [-]
Yeah, but one less thing to worry about, right? Especially if you have heart problems, **** could save lives.

immortality to aging doesn't mean they won't get killed by the inherit randomness of the universe at some point.

heart beating ≠ immortality.
EX: People killed with curare have their heart beating long after they're dead..
But it would be nice to avoid heart attacks though..

It wouldn't actually stop heart attacks either. Heart attacks are caused by loss of bloodflow to cardiac tissue. No amount of electrical stimulation will keep dead muscle beating. This is basically just a really good pacemaker.

It actually does if you have a Google play music subscription. Also lets you save videos for offline viewing and no ads on music videos.

At least on Android, not sure about iPhone.

i think that it will keep you alive for longer, but the ageing process is just slower? i'm not sure, as organs fail overtime etc. but if this is eternal life, then sign me up !

Everyone here talking about immortality and **** ... and im just here masturbating thinking about the millions of cells our skin sheds every second.

I can tell you this, Immortality will never be accomplished in an organic state. You will need durable material such as metal. Computers. Computers can last for years, if not a millennium. But even then, a computer's harddrive may deteriorate like every other matter on this planet. However, data can be saved and replenished through changing mediums of hardware. It's a lot easier to craft hardware than living cells. Plus the energy is electric, and not a complex process of food intake, digestive process, oxygen/nutrient transportation, heart pumping, etc.

If only we can re-invent the wheel by crafting the human brain out of software.
