Question.
Do Americans really leave their shoes on when entering their house? Like, you guys just walk around the house wearing shoes?

I work in a hotel and we constantly have to charge American guests for new kettles because they make the coffee or tea in it.
I thought it was just how American kettles worked, not that the didn't have one. How do they boil water!?

Do Americans seriously not have kettles? Not even electric ones you can plug into the wall? Also, why are people saying Americans don't drink the same tea?

Because we can.

But honestly, it's preference. The tea we drink is usually best served cold. You will find that very common among southern folk.

That requires waiting until the next day. I don't have that kind of patience.

I'm an American and I've always used a kettle. It feels to me like the water stays hotter longer than when it's microwaved.

Or, you know, they don't like or drink tea. I don't know why that's such a hard concept to grasp. If I do happen to need hot water for tea or hot chocolate, I use my coffee maker (it has a two dispensers - one is for the coffee, and the other is for hot water for soup, hot chocolate, etc.).

Currently playing Assassin's Creed 3 (I'm slow okay?) and this struck a chord with me.

A chord of laughter and revolution.
