Take a break from the anger

Relax, play this song, and go in the comments.

Write your happiest thought to share with everyone else.
And I mean happy thoughts, not "I wish X would be gone" or something.
How about a positive thought?
How about a happy place? A peaceful fantasy.

Life is meant to be enjoyed.
The greatest insult you can give your enemies,
is indifference.

Although I didn't do much this summer, I feel good. I feel as if I've matured so much. I've been working out and though I may not have the physique of a bodybuilder, I'm fit and that's good enough for me. I've just gotten out of a depression i've been suffering since the beginning of last summer. I'm ready to finish my senior year and graduate. I'm ready to do something with my life. I'm an uncle now and I'm happy for my sister and brother-in-law. After a year and a half of writing, I've finally figured out how to present the story I've spent sleepless nights attempting to articulate. All of this, its like a heavy weight being lifted off my heart. I've lost many friends in the past few years, I've ended relationships with people I immaturely cared so much for, but none of that bothers me anymore. For as long as I can continue to write and create, for as long as I am able to accomplish something with myself, I feel at ease and for once, I am content with life.
thank you for reading

Trust me you'll love it.
You will want to practice before you enter the class so that you can start off as the ace of the class. Trust me, it will earn you a lot of respect. You can get the adobe creative cloud for like 40 bucks a month, and you get to use all of their pro tools.

Thats what Im doing for my classes right now.
When you master a little bit of 3D and 2D, you can mix them together and do this.
#34 to #33 - mikasuh (08/01/2015) [-]
That's cool as **** man. I'm psyched to start.
User avatar #35 to #34 - totallytito [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
To start you off, there are open source programs(free without viruses).

Blender(3D modelling/animation)
Pencil(the program, not the real thing[you might want to use a tablet])

But to get familiar with 2D animation, you might want to experiment with Pivot 2.0(also free), and you can use your mouse to pose a stickman.
User avatar #37 to #35 - mikasuh (08/01/2015) [-]
I've used pivot multiple times before when I was smaller. I mostly made zombie stuff. I might get it for some 2d animation.
User avatar #39 to #37 - totallytito [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
Pivot will get you far, since it helps you spend more time learning how animation works, rather than wasting your time drawing

Been struggling with bipolar disorder and social anxiety for the past 3 years, on and off meds, in and out of the psych ward, and skipping my appointments thinking that I could deal with it on my own. As of recently however, I've been reaching out to friends and family for support when I need it. I also decided to get physically healthy by losing weight (50 lbs), cleaning up my diet, drinking more water, and exercising 6 days out of the week. The difference in my mood is night and day. I'm more confident, got a job in my desired field, and I got a dog. My future isn't looking as bleak these days.

TL;DR: OP was hopeless, now isn't

You should get into an outdoor hobby like drone flying. You can get a cheap one online for 50 dollars, and get spare rechargeable batteries for like 10 dollars each.

It would be like playing a video game, but real life.
That is what I do with my drones. I fly around, do stunts, and take pictures of the beautiful world from 300 feet in the air.

Fun fact; the higher you fly, the longer you can see the sunset since you can look over the horizon.

Well, I've had a decent enough time getting to college. I'm doing great with the work, and I'm going into a brand new field, so that's a plus.
But there's waaay more downsides. Starting off, everyone in that college is stupid enough to the point where a supposed "prank" got me set on fire. I don't mind pranks, but it gets to be bothersome when it actually harms.

I've been trying to get with this 8.5/10 gal, but I knew her since I was like 6-7, so friendzone got in the way. Tried getting with other girls, keep getting so unlucky. Ontop of that, I just recently graduated High School, causing all my friends to flock away, and now literally my only real life "friends" are someone in that class I rarely talked to and a 30-40 year old guy in the college who just quit the college since he got a well-paying job. .. and to top it all off, after privately talking to different people that have studied therapy, etc., I think I have a serious depression I didn't really know about.

I just wish I could go to a much better place. Not many areas are teaching the field I'm going into, and I wish I was more successfully social as a person. I'd just love to be the social hero of the situation. I want to do some good, rather than be the guy that just sits in the back and is forced to watch. When I'm feeling really down, I try to imagine myself, years from now, an expert in my new field, on my way to making a huge savings and helping people that are in need. All I want to do is mean something.
User avatar #83 to #82 - totallytito [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
Oie, let me ask.
What kind of field do you plan to get into? There are so many great things you can do and become good at. What was your choice?
User avatar #84 to #83 - sullseeker ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
Well, I originally planned on becoming a video game developer when I was younger(Childhood dreams), found it was all just competition, stopped that. I then planned on Animation and Graphic Design(Self-taught, for the most part), then an instructor that was teaching me Residential Wiring in High School told me that was a bad choice.
Now, I'm going into a whole field relating to 3D Printers known as Metal Infusion, which is basically Machine Tools, but I form the metal components out of a metal powder using those printers. Cool stuff, really, but it's a new field, and difficult to get into.

If you can code, I can model and animate your game for you.
Let's keep in touch.
#86 to #85 - sullseeker ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
Not really able to code yet, sadly. I will be learning it in the future, however. I use SFM for my animations, sometimes still use it. Just not as common, anymore, now that I'm working in college, etc. I didn't actually have a game in plan, I'm moreso working with real life metal, learning to model it. I'd be down to keep in touch

Picture relevant, thumbnail I made for a YouTube Video.

You've got talent.
Don't take the word from your highschool teacher.
Do your metal modelling career, and explode indie game development on the side.
Your at-home project could become your second job after work, and eventually you can bring along other talented friends for the task.
It won't be long before you make something so great that you won't need to work again for another 5 years.

As the ancient hawaiians used to say;
"Even the weakest streams can erode entire canyons in their wake. Just give them time."
#93 to #89 - sullseeker ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
Thanks I mean, I usually wouldn't care for what they say, but it is quite true, after I spoke to video game devs and graphic designers, telling me that if I don't like competition or constant work, I should probably find a new job.

I didn't want to leave my experience, so now I'm putting it into this rad career. I'm melting metal into place from powder to component using modelling, and I'm quite excited for it. That's why I continue to once every so often visit Source, and I do know a few animators that I'd kill to work with(Including a guy that even worked on the famous Guardian Pyro video), but he's going into the military.

Thanks, you have helped me think alot about my career. Now I just gotta get past the fact that I'm pretty much a social outcast in the real world ^_^ Cheers, man!

song's not available in germany, music is forbidden here. I'm exaggerating, but a lot of stuff gets blocked over here

6-week Internship was very helpful, but kind of a disappointment.
not in the job itself, more in myself. If I didn't **** up the script,I'd have made the animation part in a week or so.....
But I got the chance to rewrite the script properly at the end,and am planning to finish the project myself.

It was disappointing to fail, but I very much needed a lesson on planning, and, in my opinion, few things work as well as trial by fire.

another year before my shooling is finished, and I'm motivated to get my skills up there.

also,my education-assistance-fund-thing has to be renewed, and I'm stuck with gathering scrap money until the paperwork goes through.

there's some more,but it doesn't matter.

tl;dr: Life's been sort of a dump lately, but I'm down to make it better.

Keep it up, my friend.
Life is a world of infinite possibilities, within finite amount of time.

That internship is going to pay for itself in the long run.
Employers value experience over education any time(unless it's a big soulless company, they end up full of incompetent workers with degrees and no experience that way)

You know, I'm going through a lot. But....things will get better. I want them to get better and I know they will. I have to get myself through all this and I know I will. In a years time, I will be finishing my last year at CC and transferring to a university close to my home, and then I am starting my career at home. It's only a year, right? I can wait a year, and you know when you're in college and you work all day, a year is going to pass by pretty quick. It's not really a year honestly, like 10 months but it's a school year nonetheless. It will go by quick, I will come home soon to the people I love and I will be close to my brother and my father and all my friends back home. Things will get better, things will be okay in the end. Things are going to look up. I just need to be positive. I need to be happy. I need to smile and look forward to a happier future that is coming soon, I just gotta work towards it.
