If that plate carrier is real that he has, it's pretty expensive, but i doubt that it's real. That one costs like 2000$ in the US and it's even more expensive in the Europe.

i find it funny because it's so small, i mean it doesn't cover half of his... yeah

good news and bad news about that gif.

bad news: the bus had hostages in it

so you're telling me we have these mother ****** able to do that... but in the zombie apocalypse we get ****** in like two seconds?
User avatar #60 to #17 - MikedelScorcho (02/11/2014) [-]
Seriously though, it bugs me how almost every zombie apocalypse movie plain assumes that the militaries of the world would just become combat ineffective overnight and succumb to infection without at least taking most of the infected down with them.
User avatar #50 to #17 - sycotic (02/11/2014) [-]
so dude math'd it out and assuming 99% percent infection and 1% survivor and assuming each survivor make a pathetic 10 kills a month it still boils down to about one year before it's over

TLR zombie apocalypse less than one year long

#4 - kingderps (02/11/2014) [-]
Assuming this vid was real time, there were 6 seconds between the initial breech and when the first operative entered. That could be 6 seconds of blind fire full auto at the general direction of the hostages.
#86 to #4 - trymeudie (02/11/2014) [-]
Assuming the enemies inside the train car don't have ******* X-Ray vision they won't know where the breach is from, this is why it's done through a window and not the front door. A breach like this would be done behind the general grouping of the bad guys. Sniper cover would also be available at all times.
User avatar #26 to #4 - dagold ONLINE (02/11/2014) [-]
As someone who has been hit with a flash bang, I can say it isn't like call of duty where the screen just goes white and you can open fire. That **** scrambles your entire motory system for a few seconds and dizziness and disorientation follow for a couple seconds after. In no way was I able to think straight enough to just start shooting everywhere, and I was in a combat training exercise where I was well aware I might need to.
User avatar #20 to #4 - eiaisqzbsesb ONLINE (02/11/2014) [-]
You can see someone throw what I assume is a flash bang into the cart between the time of the breach and when the ramp was put in place.
#22 to #20 - penileburglar (02/11/2014) [-]
Yes... And that's why he said 'blind fire.'
#15 to #4 - lozarus (02/11/2014) [-]
And now you understand why breaking in is considered the very last resort in hostage situations.

It seriously risks the lives of the people inside and the police force that enters.
#5 to #4 - Dadhhg (02/11/2014) [-]
It takes several seconds for a trained individual to realize they are under attack, and far longer for an untrained individual, It's not like they can do it in 2 seconds
User avatar #6 to #5 - konradkurze (02/11/2014) [-]
wait...what...a TRAINED person taking time to react?

when youre trained youre on edge ready for it
#9 to #6 - anonymous (02/11/2014) [-]
They do throw a flash grenade in and from what my experience is, being anywhere in a confined space when that goes is not fun and will incapacitate you for several seconds.
My experience being at a show where they showed of some and we were pretty far away, but still felt a little concussed by it.
User avatar #10 to #9 - konradkurze (02/11/2014) [-]
well yeah the FLASHBANG will mess people up, just the breaching explosive wont

then again anything that increases pressure in a confined space ***** up the people inside that confined space, that and the sound bouncing off the walls would cause shellshock

User avatar #63 to #10 - MikedelScorcho (02/11/2014) [-]
One of them also throws a concussion grenade through the breach, just after the charge goes off

If a sudden loud noise goes off, even a trained person has to figure out what and where it came from, and they can't do that instantly, so unless the person was sitting there, watching that one specific window, they still will take time to figure out what's happening, where it is, and where to move, all of which takes reaction time
User avatar #12 to #11 - konradkurze (02/11/2014) [-]
idk, id say it depends on the person
ive had loud noises just happen near me and i snap to the general direction it came from
#13 to #12 - Dadhhg (02/11/2014) [-]
but do you jump up grab a weapon and then do battle in under 6 seconds when you do so?
User avatar #14 to #13 - konradkurze (02/11/2014) [-]
on the civilian scene no, i do react in less than 6 seconds, just not drawing a weapon unless im in danger like the bang was gunfire

in the gif, its clearly a scene where there would be armed offenders they have to take down....if say I was one of the offenders in that situation yes id have a gun aimed where the breach bang came from
#21 to #14 - soloman (02/11/2014) [-]
Or at the hostages, which was your initial point. I mean isn't that the point of hostages? "If you do anything funny, we're going to shoot them. I have a gun pointed at them right now, and an explosion in my book is you doing something funny."
#8 to #6 - kingderps (02/11/2014) [-]
Well, I do see what;s he's saying, the blast is so loud it's disorienting, so even people who are trained will be in a daze for a few seconds. Still, I wonder how possible it would be to just pull the trigger when hit with that.
