This show is awful. Every single joke ends the same way. Non nerd set -up and then closing with with a punchline like "wow that's the last time i try the Euclid thermonuclear dynamic theorem."

So its for nobody?

I have no strong feelings for this one way or the other

That would explain why it keeps getting cancelled.

I'll admit, at the start of TBBT, I liked it. I actually understood the science humour and felt that it was a relatively accurate portrayal of some of the cliché "nerds" that actually portrayed a semblance of intelligence. However, when dumber people started watching it and acting like they understood the science humour to make them feel smart, the creators of the show took that on board and effectively dumbed it down for a wider audience. I had hopes for it, but they ran it into the ground when they changed their target audience. I can start to point out the errors in the things they say now, as if the team that work on ensuring factual accuracy are slacking. It's simply devolved into another boring sitcom.

I don't see why the big bang theory gets so much hate. Sure, it's not always entirely accurate, but so what? It's not a documentary, it's a ******* sitcom. No one expects scrubs to be absolutely accurate in every single episode, so why must the big bang theory?

It seems like people hate it because it pictures intelligent people as unsocial nerds, but it doesn't really, it just focuses on a few individuals who happens to be, which isn't all that unthinkable, or even rare for that matter.

It doesn't get hate because it''s innacurate, it gets hate because the entire show is comprised of sub-par jokes except they use bigger words to tell them.

Also their biggest joke is "Bazinga".

you think arrested development makes you intelligent?

thats like saying adventure time makes me a ******* nuclear physicist
#81 to #46 - landerp (08/19/2014) [-]
No it doesn't really work that way. While watching Keeping up with the Kardashians undoubtedly does make one stupider, this chart is implying that Arrested Development might be more entertaining for intelligent people versus dumb people. Futurama, on the other hand, is just a great show and should be enjoyed by everyone. Without exception.

Hooray let's all jump on the internet bandwagon of hating on a show just for the sake of hating on it. Yeah big Bang Theory is for idiots, that's a perfectly reasonable thing to say. Asswipe.

I actually like that show.
I don't see why people need to find things to hate, when we should all focus on what we like.

Do we really need to start something similar to the brony-hate bandwagon again?
What's next, Potterheads? Star Wars geeks? Any group of people that like anything?

Are we all really so lazy to like things that we have to spend more of it hating things?
**** , i like broccoli with cheddar! Wait a few years and a bunch of guys on the internet will say "tips glasses" and call me autistic every time I take a bite.

I love me some arrested development. You could also arguably put Always Sunny in that middle slot.

Nerds rage about TBBT because now all the main characters have romantic interests whilst the original fanbase are still masturbating into pillows while crying about being in the friend zone.

Never really got why people hate on the big bang theory so much.
People bring up the laughtrack a lot. Seinfeld, Friends, and even That 70's Show use a laughtrack. Not really a solid reason to hate the show.
Contrary to belief, not every joke is the same. Sure, there are some jokes that throw in some "scientific" punchline, but that's just how the characters apply what they know to real life situations. A lot of the comedy is just like what you would find in every other sitcom.
And I've never heard anyone blatantly say "omg i understand what they're saying I'm such a nerd XD." I've never even seen a person wear a shirt with a BBT logo on it. You're just using this show as a tool to reinforce the hate you already have for "nerds."
TL;DR the "hate on BBT for shiity reasons" bandwagon is a ******* joke.
User avatar #77 to #67 - swagfagit (08/19/2014) [-]
because the big bang theory is just not a funny show

Where would this fit in the venn diagram? I would assume it's a smart show under the impression of a dumb show involving smart people doing dumb things for smart reasons.
