Fans were not happy the turtles had noses in the upcoming TMNT movie, the second image has the nose edited out, so they are happy it looks more like the cartoons did.

For ***** sake people...

They talk. The turtles talk. In order to talk, they need lips. Lips are necessary to talk. If their mouths were like they are in the third panel, they wouldn't be able to speak without sounding like a ******* potato.

Besides, this is the stupidest ******* thing to complain about in a movie since Avatar came out, and everyone started getting their knockers in a twist over it being a carbon copy of Pocahontas.

You are looking for reason in a series that is literally Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I think it looks good. When they have their masks on and are talking, they look awesome. That one clip is just really horrible because of the bad freeze frame and the no mask.

Are we really complaining about the facial anatomy of giant, humanoid turtles? Also turtles do have nostrils, so really the new design is 'more accurate' from a technical standpoint.

I think that's the problem with a lot of these reboots, oftentimes it can be difficult to please both new viewers and old timers who just want to satisfy their nostalgia boners. Personally I like new designs in reboots, its always kind of fun to see a new interpretation on something old, especially if the new interpretation adds new levels of detail to the character's designs. Imagine how dumb the Avengers would have looked if they all wore their original costumes, or how ridiculous Transformers would have looked if they had used the gen-1 versions.

Sometimes change is a good thing, nostalgia shouldn't anchor you to the past so tightly that you refuse to accept change.

I understand why people are upset about the nose thing but if you're going to judge a whole movie based off of that..

i don't think they look like the original tmnt, but i'm pretty sure that's on purpose and you know what, if you look at it that way they are actually pretty cool.

I'm sorry... The Last Airbender movie was just a bad MOVIE. I was fine with the Star Wars prequel trilogy and I'm sure I'm going to like the new movies. But The Last Airbender was an utterly **** movie (terrible acting, honestly, ruined it WAY more than any story inaccuracy)

I would assume the lips in the second image would be much harder to animate.
