The number d is said
to be bad luck and
you can find many
elevators in Korea with
the number A replaced
with the letter "F".
It you want people to
think you want them
dead, then write their
name in red ink. People
think it brings very bad
luck and even death.
Some people believe
that leaving the fan
on inside a closed
room while you sleep
will kill you. This is one
of the more well known
superstitions of Korea.
Some people say that
whistling at night will
bring spirits or ghosts.
In order to prevent
this from happening,
some people will stop
you from doing it.
It is said that giving
shoes to your significant
other could cause them
to run away. If shoes are
given as a gift, some
people will pay a small
amount to prevent it
from happening.

Couples in the past
would have to walk
down this road to get
to the divorce court in
Seoul. Some say you will
breakup soon it you
walk down this path.
It you have dreamed
of pigs lately, it could
mean that lots of money
is on its way to you.
Touched a butterfly or
moth lately? Don' t touch
your eyes afterward or
you could lose your
eyesight. This superstition
is not as popular now.
It you give your husband
or boyfriend chicken
wings, it could cause
him to "fly" away from
you since his belly is
full of wings. Any winged
bird is fair game.
Jumping over your baby
will cause it not to grow
taller. It' s also good
advice to...] ust not jump
over babies if you don' t
want to risk getting
arrested for killing
your baby.

A couple of these are true for Chinese people ie writing names in red ink and unlucky 4, though they wont go as far as replacing the 4 in elevators. The red ink is based off of names painted on gravestones are often in red. Also 4 is unlucky because of in chinese, 4 also kinda sounds like "die".(四 and 死). Its also kinda taboo to give people wristwatches (especially old people) on their birthdays cause it reminds them of the limited time they have left before they die (funfact). Many people dont realize just how influential chinese culture is towards the Koreans and Japanese more than they admit. But what I like how the Koreans and Japanese tried to create more self identity for their own cultures during their times of isolation.

I'm korean. I can confirm I've heard most of these from my parents growing up. To this day, my mom will tell me to stop whistling at night because of ghosts

Holy ******* **** seriously the buying shoes for your S/O is so true. I gave shoes to this poor beautiful girl that I loved and she went with another guy the next day and got pregnant she ran away far.
