Huh, I've rewatched that before and never heard the TV anchor, but I just took another look at it and you're right. But there's really only one reason to reference Cairo in the Marvel Universe. That and www.slashfilm.com/marvel-studios-talks-upcoming-projects/ has Kevin Feige in 2010 say that he'd like to bring Ant-Man, Luke Cage, Black Panther, Iron Fist, etc. into the MCU (which has happened) along with Moon Knight. My bets on him showing up in someone else's Netflix series.
It's hard to say, I'm not quite sure who out of netflix/movie stars he's known to work with the most, but he could easily show up in Daredevil S2, Luke Cage, or Iron Fist, but also I could see him in Civil War briefly since his part in that is a good plot point He; using the power of Khonshu or imitating it, essentially forces the registration agent to give him a superhero license despite being found deranged. His first essential act is to throw a villain off of a roof into a parade, and the agent who allowed him in was found to have committed suicide.
In the comics I think its an open relationship. They do seem more than friends a lot of the time. Harley did try to woop it up with Ivy a while back ago until interruption, seemed like it was going to get somewhere good if it was allowed to continue.
ITs not true.
They are friends, and they are both extremely flirty. So it seems like they are actually serious.
Harley has multiple boyfriends through the storylines, and Ivy, while very seductive and good looking, is a plant.
Ah, my bad, harley intended to start something in issue 15 while drunk, and they got interrupted by mason.
Also, no bubble was burst, I'm almost sick of lesbianism being slapped onto everything and people calling it progressive. It's fetish-ising at best, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Korra, all comics ever. It's not progression when it's trendy.
The writers said that Harley and Ivy are in an open relationship in new 52 without monogamy and jealousy. It is also hinted in convergence (which is post Gothan City Sirens) in a conversation between ivy and Catwoman that they are a couple but ivy is OK with Harley playing around with others.
Well actually from what's shown in Harley's comics, Ivy has a crush on Harley but she friendzoned her. They never confronted each other, but it's pretty obvious.
He doesn't give suits to "everyone" just people close to him that he trusts. War Machine, Spider-Man and Pepper are the only ones that have gotten suits.
how do you steal a power suit? I've killed people wearing them and took the parts, but I mean the suit itself. Do I make it or Do i need to do the 'pickpocket fusion core' trick?
If you just want the parts you can kill em, but to get the parts and the frame you have to pickpocket the core To my knowledge this is the only method i know to obtain frames from enemies
You can blow up the core from a distance, tends to be a pain though.
You can pickpocket it as well, but that's a bit of a pain too.
If you do manage to get them out, the suit will always say stolen and if you have a character that hates stealing it will affect your relation with that person if you use it.
all his suits are equipped with a control command plus all sorts of monitoring **** . Plus I think at the time he was scouting spider man to join him as one of the avengers.
Some of the advantages Tony has by giving other super heroes suits
-He knows what's going with other super heroes 24/7
-They become reliant on the suit thus becoming reliant on him
-If they ever get out of hand he can take control of the suit whenever he likes - even if they're in it.
-He gets to gather very VERY detailed combat information both about the hero wearing the suit and every villain he faces.
-He gets to test out different potential gadgets, abilities, and configurations for his suits allowing him to find their weaknesses through other heroes endeavors
-The other hero ends up feeling like they owe him one for giving it to him thus giving him a considerable amount of sway with fairly important people.
The difference between Tony giving out suits and thor giving out hammers is that the suits are just technology, technology he can easily replicate and technology he's constantly reiterating and improving. Tony's super power isn't the suit of armor. Tony's super power is that end of the day he's the absolute smartest person on the planet and his weakness is that he KNOWS he's the smartest person on the planet so he tends to underestimate people.
That's not to say he knows more than everybody about everything mind you, just that his reasoning and comprehensive skills are better than anybody else's. He still doesn't know as much about radiation as Bruce Banner or as much about genetics as Dr. Xavier but he knows more about radiation than Dr. Xavier and he knows more about genetics than Bruce for example. He's a jack of all trades sort of intelligence.
He doesn't like it when his non-god, non-hulk, non-immortal teammates get killed, so he gives them **** that keeps them alive. Bear in mind that Spidey's very, very, very squishy. The guy runs around in spandex. He could just get shot and die. Or Rhino sits on him. He needs some extra protection.
Tony gave Peter that suit as a "birthday" (Peter died, then came back and everyone was like "dafuq") present with a load of cool gadgets and stuff built in.
However during the Civil War arc it was revealed that the suit was actually taking readings of Peter and his abilities, recording the limits of his powers and why they work (Peter's Spider-sense is pretty weird). Naturally Peter didn't like this and **** went down.
Darkseid is the literal embodiment of "Do not **** with."
He'll just kill you and then bring you back to life later. So he can kill you again. **** the guy murders his own kids and then brings them back to life whenever he feels like it.
I think it was confirmed that Sentry was seriously holding back in that fight. Dude was able to slow down a Celestial.
I'm not completely sure. Darkseid beats Superman like a red-headed stepchild physically almost every time they fight. In New 52, he onehalfshot big blue, and tanked a Multiverse Empowered Green Lantern.
I'd give it to big D in the long run. Death Seed Sentry was hurt by lightning from Thor. DS's Omega beams knocked out Superman in one shot, and that's just because Darkseid wanted him alive and was only a single beam rather than both.
Well, Thor, while being underpowered, is also overpowered. One knock of his hammer to Superman's or Sentry's head, and they're out like a light. It's all in his hammer, one of the most powerful weapons ever made.
Well, one of Senty's Deathseed powers is Immortality, another being Invulnerability. Darkseid could hammer him with everything he had all he wanted to, and not make a dent. Superman, while incredibly durable, is confirmed to be neither immortal nor invulnerable.
While ole' Robert is immortal, no doubt about it, Owen Reece couldn't kill him, I think it's more of the fact that Sentry doesn't have much that can put Darkseid down. He does have the ability to manipulate matter, but so does Darkseid, and Darkseid actually knows how to use it very well.
Worse comes to worst, Darkseid uses the Omega Sanction and sends Bobby into another universe.
Well I can imagine him surviving the fight, but there's always someone who can kick his **** in. Even the Hulk could do that if he lands the blow, since he has literally infinite strength, and is resistant to matter manipulation and energy attacks. Or, he can counter them with his shockwave attacks. Which level buildings and split the earth wide open.
Hulk would have to be seriously angry to do any damage to Darkseid. Even then, Darkseid can teleport other people and even planets away. He once re arranged two completely different solar systems that were lightyears apart. Teleporting the Hulk is nothing.
His Omega Beams did serious damage to the Anti-Monitor, who beat the Spectre. Imperiex, DC's Galactus, The Spectre... Hulk is tough, but no where near any of them.
Marvel even had a Superman Expy absolutely demolish the Hulk during the Incursions.
The thing with the Hulk, is he's very limited in what powers he has, but when it comes to the powers that he does have, they are completely unlimited. Infinite strength, near 100% invulnerability, and when he does get damaged, he regenerates almost instantly.
That's true. But the Hulk is not instantly angry enough where he'll be able to resist serious damage at the very start. Darkseid opens with the Omega Beams, and the Hulk is ash, or is floating in space well away from him.
Again, as this pic shows: Darkseid>Superman>Hulk. Plus, Hulk gets absolutely destroyed by Thanos. Who is, in my opinion, slightly weaker than Darkseid.
Even then. Hulk's most powerful state, Green Scar, is about Superman level in terms of strength. Hulk was able to pull two halves of a planet together, Superman benched an entire planet. So they're roughly equal if Hulk is at his canonical strongest.
Now plug in the fact that Darkseid completely manhandles Superman quite easily. As shown here. And Lanterns are no threat to Darkseid. Hell, they're no threat to his Superman equal son Orion, who easily overpowered Mogo.
ehh I feel he is kinda boring. I am not saying he isn't a good super hero but aquaman never really clicked with me. I think a lot of it comes from his earlier stuff way back when that people give him **** for most of the time anyway not so much is new stuff.
Also, the latest Deadpool is kind of meta. Just like Deadpool as a character is blowing up and getting a movie and **** , the Deadpool in the comics became rich and famous and is trying to deal with the whole "I'm rich and famous and if I fart in my living room, some tabloid's going to write about it, but I kiiiiiiiiind of want to go out, save people and stab criminals" thing. Also, the usual "money doesn't buy happiness" thing.
Way too ******* many. The guy gets retconned so often the latest version of Deadpool got married and the ceremony ended with "Until retcon do thee apart". The first, oldest Deadpools were pretty damn dark and serious with the occasional moment of snarkiness. Later versions became less serious and more sassy. Then came Waypool, who was Marvels' attempt at making Deadpool "hip with the kids". Waypool is the lol so randum Deadpool, who was a bloody psychopath with no personality other than "I am crazy". Then they gave Deadpool back to decent writers and retconned pretty much all of Waypool and he slowly became serious again. The latest Deadpools have gone back to their serious roots and the whole thing is basically just him having 5 identity crisises per issue. Kind of like Wolverine had when he was trying to get his **** together. Except with more puns and less brooding.
hmm... I'm just not into that kind of humor i guess. i tried reading harley quinn and hated it, and squirrel girl used to be great but now she's lost most of her charm.
maybe one day I'll read some of his comics, but I will need to do some research to find some good stories. any recommends?
Aquaman get's a ton of credit despite that fact his general design is crappy, his back story is wishy washy his personality is all over the place and his primary thing is just popping out of the ocean to say HEY EVERYONE I'M HERE ToO, LOOK AT ME, KING OF THE OCEAN I RULE SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH OVERALL SURFACE AREA BY CUBIC VOLUME, MOST OF THE WORLD IN FACT, RESPECT MY AUTHORITY! even though he pretty much just rules one city that's super out of the way.
fun fact gambit is pretty much a alpha class mutant. he has slight telepathy and can even resist telepathy. His power of turning potential energy into kinetic energy at one point got so big he had to go to mr sinister to remove some of his power.
I shall get in on this, Moon Knight, AKA Marc Spector is an American Rabbi's wayward son and all round badass, he's the avatar of the Egyptian god of the moon Khonshu, upon returning to America he fights one on one against a werewolf and whilst being bitten he doesn't go all lycanthropic he just gains super strength during the lunar cycle due to Khonshu's aid, he tends to view criminals as needing punishment so in order to mark them with his wrath he will carve a crescent moon in their foreheads, he also fights with a set of moon based silver weaponry, he is an expert detective,
Proficient in martial arts and armed combat and as I mentioned he gains increased strength, endurance, and agility depending on the lunar cycle. He's a lot like a badass silver moon themed batman but better
