Everyone does it. People get so taken with an ideology that they think they must do whatever they must to further it; to "win" it.

Or people are denying that your cause might actually be worthwhile and truthful, and thus turning away much needed attention that your cause requires to help it doing something about the issue.
Desperation is not pretty. As long as there's racism deniers and apologists and just straight up racists trying to downplay how big of an issue it still is, there's going to be people suffering, invisible to you because you don't care about them and how ****** their lives are being made while probably people you know are the ones ******* them over.
Was this a dumb move? Totally. Could it have been for stupid reasons? Completely. Could it have also been for the right reasons? Yes, also quite true.

Yes racism and homophobia are still prevelant in the u.s but its not nearly as much as these groups claim. By lying you are not only giving false information and promoting fear ,but also discrediting the movement as a whole. Intentions may be good but this behavior can never be justified.

I didn't deny any of that, I agree with everything you said in that comment.
All I disagree with is that bit in the first comment about making up fake issues automatically meaning the cause itself is **** . Every cause has had bad apples no matter how good or bad the cause itself is, and they should be judged for their overall merit instead of for the actions of a particular 'supporter.'

We would do that, if the majority of the group actually tried to point out that minority and. figuratively, kick them out of the group, rather than just ignore them and thinking it is ok to have those bad apples that keeps putting black marks on their group in the eyes of others.
If the group want people to ignore the loud minority, they need to deal with the loud minority themselves and point out on their own what they do wrong, rather than letting strangers, who are not part of the group, do the job for them.

You failed to comprehend what I am saying.
I am saying that it is the job of the 'real' feminist to clean up the act of the radical feminist and let the world know that feminism is not ok with man-abuse, rather than ignoring radical feminist like they are during at the moment.
Try reading carefully next time, rather than assume and make an ass out of yourself.
