Sorry but everyone knows, the ultimate way to die in Star wars is getting thrown down a pit.
Well, Darth Maul and Luke both survived it. I think being hit with a lightsaber first saves you.
In the EU Darth Maul survives being thrown into a pit, Fett survives the Sarlacc pit

Not just epanded universe. They brought him back for his own arc in The Clone Wars TV show which is canon still.
I thought he actually died and was Revived fully by those weird over the top dark side "heretics" in a plan orchestrated by the Emperor to test Darth Vader? The fight where Vader shoves his own lightsaber through his chest to kill Maul?
I know the question wasn't directed at me but I would second that recomendation. Very well done show and would also recomend watching Rebels when your done with this one. Essentially the same show but set after episode 3.

Yes. It was realy enjoyable. A lot of people seem to dislike season 1 but i like it. Just remember that it improves its quality each season.
Also, the movie isnt great, but it does introduce a main character so watch it if you feel like it.
Season 3 also has the problem of having a lot of pretty meh political episodes in a row but other than that i higly recommend it
