Everybody seems to be posting their academic achievements so I'm gonna do it too. Highschool students that suck, this may interest you.

>be me
>never cared for school, always had failing grades
>only passed out of the professors' pity
>nearly had to repeat grade 9 and 11
>fast forward to this year, final year of highschool
>nearing the end of the year, don't know what to do with my life
>in order to get into any university I have to take some hard ass exams
>know I have no chance in hell so I opt out
>taking easier exams instead that are just so that I can graduate but won't get me into any university
>dad pressures me to apply to universities abroad because they don't need the grade from the hardass exams
>either that or I have to find a job
>half assedly apply to reputable dutch university for astronomy
>always loved the subject but tought I wasn't good enough for it
>grades are excellent because they don't matter for universities within the country so profs are being generous with everyone
>get accepted
>starting in september
>having math lessos with tutor everyday so that I will be able to keep up
>mfw I was given a second chance at edcuation
>I would have been a pizza delivery guy or did some other ****** low paying job if it weren't for this

If anyone is still in school, try to be good at the subjects that interest you, even if the school material is boring, it will help immensely. But even if your grades are horrible there's still always a chance. Don't give up.

>Still be me, a few weeks later
>Get called out of class
>It's about this test
>MFW I got told I was in the top 10% of the country in math skills after guessing completely while failing math for the past 3 years

Smart as balls, almost never studied, cruised right through high school and college (local, 2 year) with a C average, my test scores got me into the college honors program. My first job, I work in the lab at the hospital. I make about $22 an hour. Life lesson: I haven't yet met a single person in the professional working world who gives a **** about grades, skills, whatever. So long as you have a diploma/degree, all they care about is how professional, confident, and charismatic your work persona is. If you have that, they will gladly do whatever is necessary to hand you the vocational skills you need on a silver platter.

I always had a C average in math and it was always my worst subject, but for some reason on the SAT and GRE my quantitative scores were always a little higher than my qualitative scores.

I'm terrible at Russian, and generally just didn't even go to class, or walked out while the class was in session. Well we had this semi-big test, and apparently I aced it. It was like one out of a million chance, but I ended up getting 99/100 which was the best in class. All the Russian I know is how to swear, ask a few useless questions, and introduce myself. I still have no clue how it happened, but to this day I am very confused.
