MLP has an awful fanbase, yet the media hype gathered around it is what kept it alive for 5 years straight. If you strike it down, it will only make it last longer.
Just like feminism, or Twilight it wasn't very big until people started hyping it.

*The show ends on season 3 or 4, ending on the peak of its quality instead of running itself to the ground by season 10 like Adventure Time. (Seriously that series is dying)

Can anyone explain to me why Steven Universe is cancerous? This webm is the only exposure I've had to the show; a group of women and a little kid smoking it up with a middle-aged rap artist doesn't seem so bad.

Then they started posting a steady stream of it over time, but at a lower rate. I think it's like one or two people doing it, and now people are blowing things way the hell out of proportion and calling cancer, just like they did with MLP. It's one or two people posting a large number of screenshots from their favorite show, or drawing porn of it because it's popular.

ordanj (07/19/2015) [-] Not necessarily. As a casual MLP viewer and a Steven Universe fan, the Steven Universe fan base receives a lot less hate. Plus the Steven Universe comps are funny ass Hell, and it took a lot longer for them to be shunned to their own channel.
