Be you a Trump fan, a Sanders fan, or a Waittheresotherpeoplerunning fan, at the end of the day we can all just sit down and say "Hilary Clinton" and have a hearty laugh together, as she is the greatest joke of them all
But Hillary is terrible. Thats not even up for debate. There Dems jumping ship just because they dont want to have anything to do with her. Trump or no Trump, Hillary is a megalomaniacal horror.
Hillary Clinton is unlikeable, untrustworthy, and scandal-ridden but her actual stances at least are fairly mainstream center-left stances. If she inherits most of Obama's advisors, I'd mostly just expect her to maintain the status quo, or at least continue in the same direction as Obama.
Sooo to **** ? No really, it's like taking a burning building and pouring more fuel onto it. Most of the lefts and rights views (read: -most-, not all, and we could argue about this, but that's not the point) are the same because that's what makes them left and right. He isn't saying she is a megalomaniacal horror because she is left, he is saying it because (as you seem to know) she is a psychopathic criminal who can't say a god damn word without lying or committing a crime that would send a mere citizen to prison for life.
This is an unpopular opinion, but I don't think Obama's presidency has been that terrible. I can pick out flaws as well as the next guy and there are plenty of things I'm dissatisfied with, but America really has not gone to **** because of Obama. Part of my point in my comment was to contrast Hillary with people like Sanders or Trump, who propose much more dramatic changes than I'd expect to see from Clinton.
My main worry about Clinton besides her dishonesty is foreign policy, which is arguably the area of policy that a President has the most direct control over. She was not a good Secretary of State, and while we'd be okay if she more or less maintained the status quo domestically, you just can't do that with foreign policy. The world's going to change whether the we like it or not, and it's going to affect us in any event, so we need someone to at least respond competently, if not lead actively.
Having said all that, in my view Trump is pretty much the worst case scenario, except maybe for Carson - yes, even worse than Clinton. Almost all of his most famous and most popular stances/policies are ludicrous populist fantasies and he doesn't bother coming up with concrete plans or educating himself on the issues because he knows his base doesn't know or care about the details. And on top of that he's an unabashed asshole and sexist - not someone I want representing America on the global stage at all, and not someone I can see doing much good for our international relationships. Jeb Bush is right about him, frankly - he's not a serious candidate.
Trump's biggest strength by far is that he's remarkably adept at gaining popularity. He knows how to play to people's emotions and prejudices, he knows how to be entertaining, and he knows how to turn media criticism to his advantage. Those are excellent skills for a demagogue, but not qualifications for the presidency.
Whatever you may think of Bush, at least he has experience and some idea of what's going on in the world.
Trump is little more than a performer. He has no qualifications and very little knowledge, and apparently has no interest in learning.
he spends far too much time just mocking people
he acts like he's in a reality show, rather than a presidential election.
he doesn't point out flaws, he simply mocks.
Yeah, but sadly people like reality shows. He's appealing to the uneducated masses, the racists with undirected anger, and those fed up with US politicians, even though Trump is no different from them besides for his charisma. He's likely not an idiot, you don't usually make that much money in business by being an idiot. He's just advertising and, in a way, he's mocking the people that follow him by acting dumb.
Happens all the time in Australia. People in rural areas run, on the premise that they are not a politician just a regular bloke. Then they go and make sneaky preference deals and end up getting a seat.
Last federal election a candidate from the Motoring Enthusiasts party got into the senate.
For a more extreme example Joe Bjelke Peterson became Premier of Queensland in the 80s. He then rigged the electorates so that there were more seats in the rural areas, effectively ensuring his victory. **** pisses me off.
No, he joined the GOP and since he got the lead months ago he lost it for three days to Carson who isn't even up there anymore. He has 34.4% of the votes when you average the polls that matter.
You may not like trump, you may disagree with trump, you may think a lot of what trump says is ******** and racist. But you cannot deny that what Trump says about Hillary is spot-on and true.
