I watched it last june because of the bombardment of spoilers people kept posting i decided to just watch it instead of avoiding content constantly. Iever other post was "hurr durr george rr martin kills everyone" and red wedding was a "blood bath" without giving spoilers i was disappointed because of the hype. The series is great in itself i wasnt disappointed in the story so far. In an interview martin said he adds a bunch of sexual acts to prove a point that you can smash a guys head in with an axe and show every part of it and no one cares. However, if you show 2 people making love people go ape **** , and they do.

Sacrifice (12/18/2014) [-] The Red Wedding was hyped because people didn't really see it coming. Especially with most other books/movies where the hero is in dire peril and manages to scrape through, just surviving, GoT is a bit of a gut-punch with "and then he died."
Some of the deaths were so...insignificant, as well. Which is really cool in a really gutting way.
