It very well could be, but if it was then it only held water as nothing is coated in any kind of sauce that I can see, lit certainly looks like it has a pressure cooker valve for a pressure gauge on it
THAT is a pressure cooker failure lol, ***** dangerous. i had a restaurant grade pressure cooker explode on me when i was 16, punched clean through the ceiling and into the next floor of the hotel. they're ****** scary.
same day i broke the element in the dish washer by shorting it with a fork.
Pressure cooker that obviously exploded. My guess is the heat was too high and left unattended for too long, allowing the pressure to build up for before finally popping. And judging by the lid and the pot, it's an older model.
A lot of newer models have a failsafe. My Mom currently has three older models and they still work nicely.
