Goddamn, the one of the Screaming Eagle blood on his face always crushes me. He's got that vacant stare that makes him look like he just crawled his way through hell, just like this Marine. The drunk father one pisses me right off, seeing pieces of **** addicts ignoring their kids is something I've seen in real life. A relative OD'd on heroin while her infant was in the room and they were home alone, and I cannot forgive her for it. You want to kill yourself, do it on your own time, there's no reason to risk the baby's life so you can shoot up.
A. I barely knew the person until fairly recently.
B. What is a snatch neck? Are you implying that I have a neck wound that looks like a vagina, like Rickety Cricket?
Addiction is an illness. Not much you can do about it. You wouldn't blame a parent if it died from it's kids from cancer would you? Addicts need rehab and medical attention, not prison and hate. Source: I'm an recovered alcoholic with one son.
There is usually an underlying reason why people let themselves slip into that condition though, striking them out from regular users who do it for the kicks and can control when and where they take it; Usually to do with 'escaping' their current life or situation, just like people who play video games to temporarily forget the world.
Provide those people with a way to unhook themselves from it, to fix whatever is bugging them, and they'll usually turn around - Strip them of freedom, however, throwing them into the slammer and they'll just cost taxpayer money sitting in a cell, finding it harder to reintergrate into society when they do their time.
I'd just like to try and provide an opinion on this matter, maybe it'll give you perspective from the other side.
Addiction, like diseases, can be genetically predisposed. If it runs in your family you are more likely to become one yourself, even controlling for things like home environment. That is not something you can assign fault to. If you don't know better you think you can, and just say 'oh the addict is lazy and should die its their fault'. Sure, an addict has to start somewhere and sure you can say 'then don't ******* do heroin idiot' and I'd agree, but for something as socially perverse as alcohol you can see why it's harder to avoid completely. You may not know your predisposition for addiction until you're sliding.
As an analogy: schizophrenia is seen as having genetic and environmental factors. A person is predisposed genetically, but it takes something in the environment (like major stress) to cause the symptoms to appear, typically in young adulthood (gee, like when addictions start to manifest). Would you go to a schizophrenic and say 'you should've avoided all that stress and you wouldn't be like this'?
I understand the genetics behind addiction and I recognize it as a disease, I'm studying genetics. However, the 2 should not, and can not, be compared as he did.
Becoming addicted to things is one problem, but as you said you can avoid becoming addicted to certain things by not taking that drug or drinking alcohol to that extent. With cancer, you can not avoid it unless it's cause was through bad habits like smoking and drinking.
As for people who didn't know they were predisposed to addiction and ended up addicted to drugs, that's unfortunate but yet again they decided to make the decision to do it in the first place. Of course I mean this for hard drugs like heroin and cocaine.
I don't blame people for everyday things becoming addictive like gambling, or eating (of course that for those who are genetically inclined to them, not those with bad judgement).
Nah, **** that, addiction is not an illness nor a disease, it's lack of common ******* sense and disregard for yourself and those around you. No one forced you to blow a damn thing and no one sure as **** forced a needle in your arm full of something you had to go out of your way to find and get ready to shoot. I was doing 30ish bags of heroin a day for over two years ( never shot it, couldn't bring myself to so I just blew it) but the whole " ohh it's a disease, its not your fault " ******** is just a way to coddle people and make them feel like they couldn't help it. Two years, and every day I knew it was my fault, because I wasn't some jaded twat who needed an excuse to feel like what I was doing was justified ( I then used suboxone for a week after I decided having a gun thrust into my face was the end of it for me and got off the crap) the suboxone is a completely different issue all together I won't go into now, but will say you don't need more than a couple days on it if you don't keep making excuses as to why you do. Just like with damn near everything else you're in control of your own life, and in control of how you live it.
Yea man, when your sweating dick, throwing your guts up wanting to die with the only seeable way to stop it is to use more, it for sure isnt an illness. Eat a dick you reclusive faggot.
Or ya know, man the **** up and deal with it like I did after only a week of suboxone, like I said, there's a bunch of excuses, and being dope sick is just another excuse people use to keep doing it because they don't have it in them to say enough is enough. Go cry about what you did to yourself to someone who will sympathize, not me.
Who cried? Just telling you whats up man. No one sets out to be an addict, it just happens and a lot of people dont know what to do. I dont cry, I detoxed in my bed for a week once I knew I was physically addicted. Some people dont got that ability, and someone who claims to have gone through it should be more sympathetic, not act like a vegan and take kt as a chance to show yourself and being 'SUPERIOR'. Faggot.
Nope, no sympathy to anyone who uses the excuse that it's a disease to justify doing it in the first place, and please, do read where I said it's a lack of common sense and a disregard for everyone around you, I don't know how saying either about yourself is acting superior. But ya know
My brother had a CoWorker OD on Heroin in the bathroom at work at the gas station he works at. He'd only been working there for 2 weeks.
He called me over to see if I could get the door unlocked I have a ****** past , or open, so we could check on her. She'd been snoring in the bathroom for 30 minutes when he called me.
I couldn't get the door open so we called the police. They Crowbarred the door open and immediately ran to his squad car to call for backup and a wagon.
She OD'd on heroin and hit her head on the potted plant in the bathroom.
Had no higher brain function, had aspirated blood, and died 2 days later.
This was about a month ago, and **** me if it didn't wreck my brothers life for a few days till the cops said he couldn't have saved her no matter what he did.
So yea, like you said. If you wanna OD, do it on your own time. ******* pricks.
It's just such a fundamentally selfish thing to do. **** , imagine if she had died. Her and the baby would've died if another relative hadn't found her. Then, even if the baby lived, she'd live the rest of her life with the knowledge that her mother cared more about shooting **** into her veins than she cared about her. What a ****** up thing to do to a kid.
It sounds like you're implying that every non-American nation has beef with America. If you truly believe that, I recommend this drink called a Bleack Cocktail.
nope all im implying is that i feel no empathy towards an invading force
the only people that need a bleach cocktail are the fashist americans that think if you don't agree with their wars you hate america. get you head out of your ass
its a question, because i have a pretty good grasp on americans and i know most americans don't mind invading all those countries and see the people fighting there as heroes, and when they hurt their pinkie they expect us to cry
kek like i'm foing to listen to the axis 2.0 i mean honestly how can you still believe the us is the good guy here. there wasn't a more obvious bad guy since nazism, i mean ffs look at your closest allies in the middle east israel and saudi arabia, are you even trying to hide the dark side young padawan?
Which is beside the point, when you refer to a soldier in nazi germany you instantly think Nazi. No point in making it more complicated than it has to be. What i said was that it doesnt matter under which governement you serve, the soldiers still go through a lot and as a human being you should be able to feel for their losses.
yes lets make a complicated issue into something simple so it can fit your point. suure
but thats exactly the point i have am i supposed to feel sad for stalin mao and hitler because they had muh feelings and some baddy hurt them? no theu're assholes who kill people for their own ******** reasens. The US soldiers aren't freedom fighters nor are they defending anyone, they traveld halfway across the globe to kill people that had nothing to do with them.
nope you're trying to make it look like thee poor soldiers had no choice as if they got hurt doing something benevolent and we should feel sorry for them for what? getting splinter while he was bombing a school?
whats next, i need to feel sorry for a rapist because their dick got hurt while raping a woman?
Its not hard to always look at the negatives, but i believe life is more complicated than that. People always think they are doing the right thing, besides most of the soldiers didnt have a choice under dictators.
Life is more complicated yes, the discussion wasnt. What is your point? And we arent talking about america when i said dictators, if you actually read any of my comments you would know that i was refering to nazis most of the time. You are honestly just digging through the **** now to find something to whine about.
you said they're still people and that i'm a cynical twat (thus stating that we need feel empathy towards them and feel sorry for their booboos, because yes they did willingly travel half way across the globe to kill innocent people but they are also people)
i named a few people who also chose to kill people and do terrible things of their own accord and asked you if i should also feel sorry for their booboos because as you stated they are also people
then you attacked me for saying the german army weren't all nazis they just happend to be in the army when hitler took power
-you dismissed this as being complicated (because yeah thats a valid argument)
And in the same breath of air you dismiss the atrocities the US army has commited in the middle east as too simple
so i ask again which one is it? because from where i'm standing its only compicated or uncomplicated when you don't like the point. and the discussion was never about dictators that was just an example of humans i absolutely feel no empathy towards even tough they are as you say human
mate, im not sad for the leaders im sad for the hundreds of thousands of common soldiers who died for thier leaders on all sides, and the millions in all wars
Man, I hate seeing **** like in photo #13. That kid is way to young to know right from wrong, and his parents are already trying to **** him over. If his parents wern't so messed up he could have been a functioning member of society, and not another racist hick. No one is born a racist, it's a learned behavior.
There's a lot of **** that is learned in this world. The programming is passed generation from generation, a lot of times through trauma-induced mind control.
They're child is dead or worse, its a sad truth but eventually someone has to accept that.
The general rule is 48 hours, and there's a reason for that.
