This **** enrages me aswell.
I'm gay, and I don't even give a **** if other people are gay.

All these little lesbo-dikes and gay-fags go around and flaunt that **** like its special.

The only people who care are ******* morons.

The only people who need to know that you are gay, and the people that you wanna **** .

I honestly think praising anything anyone does just because they are of any specific group is counterproductive to the whole equality thing.

I believe in true equality 100%.
Race, gender, sexuality, and everything else mean absolutely nothing to me, but to me that also means nobody gets treated worse than anyone else (as long as they aren't hurting anyone), and nobody gets any special treatment for any reason other than actual contribution or accomplishment. You don't get a pat on the back just cuz you vary slightly from the norm. There is no norm.

Special treatments such as these create stratification between groups of people, saying some are "More special" than others contributes to either the social justice "everyone is special except if you're a straight white male" mentality, or the "You're NOT a straight white guy, therefore your lifestyle is wrong!" mentality. Both of which I dislike equally.

TL;DR: Nobody is more special than anyone else. Nobody deserves special treatment just for existing. We are all human and that's it.

Because announcing your Christianity takes a lot of courage, huh?
Because it's totally Christians who need leadership and role models and people to look up to.
Because it's Christians who have something to prove.

Christianity totally isn't the most popular faith on the planet, and homosexuality totally isn't one of the most controversial topics today.

One is a mainstream religion worshiped by many which has never prelevant in Western society for generations that is a choice. It is everywhere

The other is an intimate personal situation which is not a You need to login to view this link has been repressed and scorned by mainstream society for generations. It has caused many people to hide it in fear of loss of work, abuse and occasionally murders.

Not make this my personal opinion, this may have to do with the fact that through out the ages it has been okay to be christian. In fact, if you weren't then you'd be discriminated against. And being gay has been very taboo for SO many people. And in this era it has started to be accepted being gay. And since we're still in the process to make it okay and gay marriage okay, society may have been trying to be extra nice towards gay people. Cause we're still not out of the dark ages with the "No homo k?"

So when someone points out that hey are christian nobody really cares because that is totally accepted and being gay is not. I think one of them needs a little more attention than the other. So I wouldn't say it is because of complete double standards. Only that whining about being christian doesn't have that many points to it, and gay people are still not allowed to marry in a few backwards places.

He's a "hero" because gay people actually face discrimination, and christians don't.

i hate most gay people. but not because they're gay. i hate them because they shove their gayness down your throat. i don't care what you do at night when you're at home, but during the day i expect you to act like a normal human being.

that's not to say i don't like some gay people. i have a couple gay friends who act like normal people.
#61 to #55 - Willmooo (05/13/2014) [-]
Even so, I think in the case of sports personalities and entertainment figures coming out of the closet, I don't think that's shoving it down our throats.
I see it more as somebody wanting to be able to be honest and able to be who they really are in public, rather than masquerade as a straight person.
I know people who are as you describe though, and that's super annoying
If somebody is gay it SHOULD matter no more than the fact that I'm straight
User avatar #42 - undeadmaus (05/13/2014) [+] (1 reply)
That's because nobody thinks that being christian makes you somehow unfit to play. Also gay players don't have gay buttsex on the field whereas christians pray.

I's a little different
gay people aren't crediting the fact that they are gay as to why they win
I understand the sentiment though

Just scored a shot, better kneel down and pray to the mighty dick in all of us and everywhere around us as thanks for allowing me to score two points for my team.
User avatar #8 to #7 - Imbtrtenu (05/13/2014) [-]
I do hate when people praise gay people simply for being gay though. It's just being gay, it's nothing special.
