All You've Earned New Version I play bass and sing in my band, it's honestly ten times harder than rhythm guitar. Here's one of our songs, it's a bit underproduced, though.

Get into some funky ass band, some psychadelic band or play live shows with rappers, bass players live are ******* awesome. I used to think bass players were faggots but I learned I was the faggot. My friend plays a mean bass, and whenever we jam he can go from heavy metal to a chill hip hop bassline. Bass players are needed my friend.

I'm a bassist in a metal band, my opinions or playing style are irrelevant. ESPECIALLY as a bassist for a metal band, but I do vocals as well so it's not that bad,,,

I play a four-string marble black Ibanez Soundgear, play metal, blues, rock, and bits of other stuff too. I've been playing for about 5 years.

You play bass too?

Squire is a good bass--Fender is reliable and usually have good prices too. 1 year is good. You got the basics and everything, and it all gets better.

In all honesty, I'm just a guy who fiddles and plays whenever I can. I haven't had a lot of experience in playing shows or doing gigs. So I bet you are good, man!

That's great. I feel like bass is sometimes left in the background because it gives the impression that it's an easy instrument, but it can be a powerful tool. I'm glad some folks gave you credit for it!

Who is it?

A lot of people don't even understand your instrument, so you have the opportunity to get into a band just because they think any pillock can do the job.
Look at Cliff Burton

its 4 ******* strings, how hard could it be?
User avatar #75 to #21 - theturkeyburger (11/22/2013) [-]
Well you've got the fact that you have to move your left hand up and down the neck fast, the fact that you can pop and pluck and slap and use a pick and the fact that you only play 1 string at a time. If you're playing actual bass and not just simple ass ******* generic rock back up, it gets pretty complicated.
User avatar #22 to #21 - thebestpieever ONLINE (11/22/2013) [-]
The amount of strings is not what makes an instrument hard or easy. Actually guitar is easier, just because of the way you play it and what you do with it. But at the same time violin is harder, it's the same number of strings but you do it differently. Your comment is incredibly stupid.
