It took a long time. It aged him considerably, but it had to be done. He left his wife, his children and even his soul behind for this mission. Future generations be disgusted by him because they won't understand the pain this monster caused. They will be too far removed from the horror. If they only knew what this....creature was responsible for this trooper would have a holiday created to honor his courage. He would never pay for another drink again. However, real heroes are not celebrated they are forgotten or reviled for doing what's necessary instead of appealing to the public's misguided politics. He will die alone, but he will know he did the right thing and that's all that matters
