they had cell phones in the 90's....
same size and weight as a brick with the nice familiar warmth of high levels of radiation

Are you implying that out of the 7 billion people in the world, one of them looks like a generic boy from school?

I hate phones. I hate people's obsessions with them, I hate talking to people on them and making awkward small talk, and I hate not knowing what someone really is doing while talking. They could be in the bathroom taking a shit and reading the comics while I'm telling them about my dead dog for all I know.

I recognize them as wonderful pieces of communication technology as well as a benefit to mankind, but doesn't mean I have to personally like them. Don't hurt me.

My iPhone just broke and I'm back to using this piece of junk. I never realized how addicted I got to smartphones until now.

I did that once. I was dismayed to find that all the places that used to have pay phones no longer had them. And every place I asked to borrow a phone looked at me like I was crazy and told me no.

If i was able to say, "I was away from home for a bit" or "i had some errands to run" like i was able to do before cellphones became a necessity..... i would have alot less headaches.

I've never used a mobile phone, unless I'm borrowing a friend's mobile. It's just a little more convenient for someone to have a phone.
