I kinda understand the fitness center one. Imagine that you just finished completely busting your ass on a workout and at this point you're pretty much limping your way to your car. Wouldn't it be nice to ride the escalator down instead of inching down the steps? It would be good having those to stop the threat of having some dude break his neck on the stairs because his jelly legs gave out after a work out.

The point was more that they used "your" - which is grammatically incorrect - instead of using "you're." "Your" is possessive and used in phrases like "This is your apple," while "You're" is short for "You are" and would be used in a phrase like "You're illiterate, pay better attention in English and read a ******* book."

i'm aware its grammatically incorrect but if you read again what i said it clearly states that i rarely hear someone say you are over your. i spelled it your to emphasis that they are pronouncing it your not you are.
