just HAD to take a picture.
but then I noticed something was... off
So I carefully took a close up picture and
make sure I dent wake her up.
And this is what I got.

No that's normal. That's the second set of eyelids which is like really really thin, it's just like a protective layer when sleeping so they don't get ambushed and eyes cut badly.

Their third eyelid often closes more when they sleep so when they open their eyes partially like this it keeps their eyeballs moist. Since it's thinner than their outer eyelids it allows them to wake up if there is a big change in light, like say a larger predator walked past. Nothing to worry about.

Just a case of minor animal possession, check with your local priest or church chapter, they can get that sorted out in afternoon. Just make sure you get cookies or something, churchgoers love their sugar.

'all of the sudden'

what exactly do you think this means?

It's perfectly normal. I remember one time when my family was going to the cabin and we hadn't found anyone to take care of the cat, so we had to drug him down. Most terrifying sights I have ever seen. Foamy mouth and half-opened eyes like this.

Pic is relevant; not my cat, but similar state.

Here, a photo of some of them. There in the middle in Stanley, and Angus. Susan is the big girl on the bottom left, and her brother Thomas.

Actually all mammals if not all animals do that when dreaming, their eyes are moving too fast to see the pupils
