Well, if it were honey it would be possible.

Fun Fact: In ancient Egyptian tombs, they put giant sealed containers full of honey. Since honey is one of the only foods that does not go bad, it is still edible 4000+ years later.

**** you and **** everyone else ever who has made this type of comment. Fantasy games/books/movies/whatever the **** you want have their own logic.
Take Lord of The Rings for an easy example - Sure, there's magic and gods and unnatural life spans, but that doesn't mean it's completely devoid of logic. That's what makes it engaging and convincing, because you can imagine the world being possible, if our world was slightly different. If stupid random **** happened with no apparent reason, it would ruin the immersion of the story.
That's why yes, I will question fresh food being found in a hundreds of years old tomb. Why the **** wouldn't I? Is it important to the lore? No. so it makes no sense.
I didn't mean the **** you part, just **** your comment

I always thought it was just other adventurers leaving food behind.

You know, nowhere does it say "Fresh cheese" or "Fresh apple". It just says apple. For all we know, it's 1000-year-old rotten fruit that Mr. Kiin is eating.
