Here's a piece of advice you want to consider.
Get thicker skin. I mean that in all honesty. I understand that all forms of pork is Haram in Islam. The reality of it is that billions of people in the world don't have any restriction on pork, and think of it as a perfectly valid source of nutrition. Cats and dogs are eaten in Vietnam/Korea/China. Americans might not like that, but once the initial shock dies down, they realize that they can deal with the existence of cat and dog as food, but they also take care not to eat it. If you're a Muslim on FJ, you will most definitely run into concepts much much more forbidden to the Islamic community.
