So having lots of sex and doing drugs is sincere?

I don't get your point.

This whole persona she has, turning up to award ceremonys wrapped in fillet steak and ****, it's all just to get attention and to keep people talking about her. Artists have done this is other ways over the years, mainly by producing good music (not that she doesn't) but her massive success isn't just a product of her songs.

Agreed, but a lot of celebrities don't get their succes and popularity by just producing songs. Rihanna for example, or Britney Spears (and let's not forget Miley Cyrus).
Many celebs do lots of insane stuff to get noticed and let people talk abou them so they stay in the spotlight. Crazy outfits is just Gaga's way of doing it, and it was shocking at first but people are used to it now. She doesn't even take the things she wears seriously.
I don't know many non-pop artist on the top of my head, but you have to keep in mind all celebrities play a certain role a have a certain "thing". It's that thing that makes them them, and it's what people talk about. For Gaga it's the ridicilous outfits, but her songs are alright and she's a decent person (as far as I know).

I knew I was going to get thumbed down for the comment I made, but I just wanted to know what you had to say on the matter and I actually agree with you. It just seems to me you just don't like Lady Gaga that much (which is fine by the way, to each their own) and that's why it annoys you.

Miley is a whore in the same category as Gaga. Britney aint so bad, she had a meltdown which never made her more successful.
