Actually they are assets already build to introduce audiance to movie dlc and micro payment, rather than wait for a sequel you access the movie directory from your blu-ray and get a 5 minute extention of your movie that should have been put in the movie already.... It's the futur!

That's exactly what DC is doing. They are doing their first crossover next movie where they will do Superman and Batman.
Wonder Woman and reboot of Green Lantern are in the script stages. They are also looking for writer for Flash.

Flash has been constantly postponed since 2006. They even got Ryan Reynolds for the part, but stuff never came through, so he went on to do other stuff.

Hopefully they won't let the fact that he was Green Lantern stop them from casting him as Flash. Personally i want Ryan Reynolds to star in a good movie for once. He's such an underrated actor only because he gets cast in ****** movies.

I don't like it for a number of reasons: Characters do things that doesn't make any sense when it comes to simple logic, the real villain's plot is ultimately really generic and uninteresting, they didn't use the extremis plot to full effect and it felt really underwhelming, some points of the movie just don't make sense(ex: where the **** is SHIELD?), the overall plot they were trying to go for was strong as first but then just felt underdeveloped the more it went along. And lastly, the Mandarin twist. People can defend it and call it "a smart move" all they want, I still thought it was ********. A villain that people wanted to see finally on the big screen that could have worked if you just reworked the character itself and we thought that's what they finally did. Nope, nothing. He's just some washed up alcoholic actor and the real villain is just some guy with a grudge who watched The Incredibles one day and thought that it might work out for him differently.

The only real positives I can give is RDJ's performance, which is great as always, and the action scenes were incredibly well done.

I posted this comment before, Here it is again for your entertainment:
List of all the easter eggs I have found and know of in Man of Steel:
-LexCorp Building and Gas tankers
-Building for Blaze Comics (comic company Booster Gold made to boost his popularity)
-Utopia Casino is shown in one scene ( Owner of the casino first introduced Kryptonite into the Superman mythos)
-Kara Zor-El: When Clark finds the scout ship in the arctic there is an empty cryo chamber, confirmed by prequel comic to be Kara's. (Supergirl)
-Scene where young Clark was being bullied outside of Sullivans Auto Shop (Smallville's Chloe Sullivan reference?) Clark is seen reading Plato, first person to describe Atlantis in detail. (Kind of a stretch for Aquaman)
-Although the names are different, Christopher Meloni's character has the call sign "The Guardian"
-In the same vein as the Guardian, the Air Force captain who made the "I just think he's kinda hot" joke had the name plate that read "Farris". Possible tip of the hat to Green Lantern's Carol Ferris.
-When Superman is fighting the gravity beam his face morphs for a few seconds into Christopher Reeve.
-When Superman first takes flight, the iconic whistle from the George Reeves Superman can be heard under the other sound layers.
-Obvious Pete Ross and Lana Lang nods.

When he's reading Plato it's more of philosophical Easter egg. Krypton as shown in Man of Steel reflects the ideal society presented By Plato in the Republic. A place for everyone, and everyone in their place.

And it will be nothing like the cartoon you love, because A. DC sucks at making anything but Batman movies, and B. The Titans have next to nothing to do with the Teen Titans TV show. Comic book movies are all about origin stories lately. You want to know how the Titans started? Kid Flash, Robin, and Aqualad. Thats it. No Starfire, no Cyborg, no Raven, no Beast Boy. It later got Donna Troy and Speedy. The TV show line up was never together without a bunch of other team members.

Could someone give me some advice? I've been wanting to read comic books (DC universe mostly) for a loooong time, and I've gone to one of the comics stores in my area, but there is SO MANY books to choose from. I have no clue where to start.

Is there a volume that could be considered the "beginning"? Or do I just grab off the shelves at random and enjoy whatever it is I snag?

that depends. if you want to read more current books i would recommend starting from the launch of new 52. if you want some of the older stuff you can never go wrong with the crisis books starting with the lead up to crisis on infinite earths and working forward through all of the books that basically have crisis in the title (identity crisis, final crisis, etc.)

Mhm :]

But be careful. They can be confusing. Such as Batman for instance. He has his comics, sure. But he has like 5 different ones going on? Batman, The Dark Knight, Batman& Robin, Detective Comcis, yada yada.

I chose regular ole "Batman" and it did not disappoint me.

Just search Justice League New 52 or "ajkskadj (whatever) new 52) on pirate bay :]

There is a program called Comical that lets you read them on your computer. Or a lot of apps on tablets you can just copy and paste them and read them on your tablet.
