Let's go ahead and talk about drug testing wellfare and unemployment being drug tested... As much as I'd like to see this happen, it's far more expensive than it's worth. What really needs to happen is there needs to be more of an incentive for wellfare recipients to get jobs. Because of the stagnate economy (US) it's almost becoming more profitable to get onto wellfare or unemployment. If the amount of money and time was reduced than I guarantee people would stop reaping the benefits as much and go out and get a job even if it's low income.

If you drug test not only the person claiming welfare but also the children she is claiming you will have a much larger amount of people that can not get it.

Make the time they can't get welfare 3-5 years and you will see many people fixing their **** or moving back to where their ancestors are from.....Africa.

Just don't go into the same trap as Norway did.

Here, it's actually more beneficial for a lot of people to live off welfare than to actually work.

Not to mention this completely unfair scenario:

#1: Graduate college, get a degree in health. Work 1 full year internship from august to august, earn about $4000- 5000 a month. Finish internship, can't find new job. Result: About $800 a month in welfare. Reason: You've only worked full time 1 year, not 2-3 years (as you've been a student previously).

#2: Be an immigrant, don't have a job, don't work. Get anywhere between $2-3000 a month in welfare. Reason: **** if I know.

It's completely ludicrous. Not to mention the fact that working 1 month on a fishing boat (earning a ******** of money in that month) will grant you privileges of welfare up towards $4000 a month, while working a "normal" job for 1-2 years will grant you less money.

This is how welfare works in Norway. It provides lazy people with money so they dont have to work, and they punish people who want to work, have worked, but can't find a new job.

And they discriminate heaaaavily between immigrants and actual Norwegians. To the heavy benefit of immigrants.

Unfair ****, man. No feel good.

it's very similar here in the us, people with jobs supporting people on welfare that refuse to do anything with their lives.

Is this because you've seen it firsthand yourself, or because you've heard other people telling you?

Because I've yet to even see it myself. The only times I know about it are when people keep telling me it happens.
