closest thing there is is Etrian Odyssey
first person dungeon crawler RPG, would recommend, but keep in mind the first two in the series are hard as hell and the others are no pushover

I love those games but it's like they looked at the SMT series and was like: " ******* pussies'.

Ever been in a real forest? No one of those tiny tit ones just outside a city, I mean a forest that goes on for hours and takes hours out of the city to get to.

They are already like that. Well, without the unknown species.

i have a thing for really creative and simple ideas that can lead to massive and interesting
fantasy worlds.

There's a game based on this exact post, literally same concept of an endless forest that gets spookier and **** the deeper you go.

What is every fantasy novel ever
#23 to #10 - blitzblitz (11/18/2015) [-]
Ah yes i remember when in lord of the rings they went into that forest and the animals got spookier as they went in yes good times.
User avatar #24 to #23 - tittylovin (11/18/2015) [-]
So we're just going to ignore the giant living trees?
#25 to #24 - blitzblitz (11/18/2015) [-]
This person's idea is that just like the ocean, a forest would slowly get taller and scarier as you go in. While there are enchanted forest's in fantasy novels, I think this idea is more unique as these forests would completely replace the ocean, which could lead to exploration missions and such.
User avatar #27 to #25 - tittylovin (11/18/2015) [-]
That's not at all what he said, don't move goalposts.
LOTR is a great example of a fantasy setting where the deeper you go the weirder things get. Trees and animals get bigger and stranger.
#28 to #27 - blitzblitz (11/19/2015) [-]
it literally says in the post "imagine if forests REPLACED the ocean"
User avatar #4 - imakejewburgers (11/17/2015) [-]
The only problem is that the trees are too close together. Giant animals like that wouldn't be able to move about.
#20 - leedledee (11/18/2015) [-]
That is really ******* awesome.
Reminds me of the forest spirit from Mononoke
User avatar #18 - throbulator (11/18/2015) [-]
Cool idea but did it really need to be said in one long run on sentence that seems to go on forever until the idea sound less like a coherent thought and more like a jumble of words that wind up giving the reader a feeling of faint annoyance that causes them to go to the comment section of a silly website to write something they thought was clevor at the time but now sounds like whiny ******** ?
