I was introduced to it mostly through the old style more mainstream '80s bands then eventually worked my way up to these newer groups that maybe arent quite as well known.

I was introduced t rock with games with songs like Decadence and The Only. Friend of mine showed me Guardians of Asgaard, and I've been into metal ever since. Although these days I listen mainly to melodic death/doom metal, I sometimes listen to bands like Vader or Powerwolf
Swallow the Sun - These Lowlands My personal favorite. I find it to be beautifully dark. And it reminds me of Hanamizawa of Higurashi, when I never watched it
