He was explaining how you should change the batteries on the fire alarm yearly to make sure that they'll always be in working condition, to check any strange liquids of warning labels because they might be poisons, and to make sure the phone is nearby with the know how to call 911 along with your parents phone number. Thanks Anubis I sure needed those tips to make sure a great time is a safe time.

Isn't Anubis the god of death or something? So why would he be giving tips to prevent death?

Anubis is the god of embalming and is part of the process of judging souls. He takes the heart of the dead soul and weighs it against the Feather of Ma'at, the embodiment of Truth and Order. If it is heavier, then that person had a heart heavy with many wrongdoings, and Anubis feeds it to the demon Ammit, the Eater of Souls. If the heart is lighter, they were a good person and move on to the next trial. (Getting a good afterlife is a difficult ordeal in Egyptian mythology, which is why the pharohs and other powerful people had elaborate tombs made filled with items believed to assist them in the process.)
Orisis is the actual god of the dead and is in charge of the Duat (underworld).
To compare it to the more well-known Greek gods;
Anubis = Charon + judges, Osiris= Hades (but without the evil connotation)
Anubis often helped souls through their trials, which is why it makes sense that he would protect children.
Hope this helped to clarify.
Have a good day my friend.

Good thing that I learned to read hieroglyphs, Anubis is telling the kids that they are faggots who do not lift, that he cut off their phone line and that he's leaving to have a threesome with a prostitute and a pygmy hippopotamus.
