Those are the faggots who skip the tutorial and keep asking "how do I kill him" on the first or second level
User avatar #1 - deltoraquest (01/09/2016) [-]
this is an excuse to make gamers fit isn't it?
pretty sure it's only doing the opposite
User avatar #26 to #1 - askafj (01/10/2016) [-]
the more I hear of fit people, the more imtimidated I get of going to the gym
User avatar #31 to #26 - hellbentcrusade (01/10/2016) [-]
Why? Most people there are not paying attention to what you do because they're there to get fit themselves and after a while you won't care about the judgmental people since you will be pretty fit. I weigh 211 now when I usually weigh 190 since my stomach ****** up. I'm back into the gym now and don't care if someone thinks I'm "fat" since I'm at least trying to fix it.

Dont be afraid. We are all men here. Come lift with us.

All this did was motivate me to go replay some of the old RPG games like Dragonage: Origins and Morrowind
#7 to #1 - wilhelmwhiskey (01/09/2016) [-]
i personaly like this idea of motivation, every time i run 10km i imagine i get one level up. every km is 10%

> Several friends lost 100+ pounds doing DDR
> Was doing Crossfit + Abs Diet, switched to Zach Evan-Esh inspired sandbag protocol +DDR and Paleo
> Got in the lowest bodyfat I've ever been in my life
> Zach Evan-Esh protocol was density workout based on points
> You "win" if you got more points done (more exercises in less time) than previous workout
> >>#1 thinks it doesn't work

I'd say gamification ******* works m80

i never questioned it, i practiced this 1 1/2 years for my running excercise, i ran 10km 5 times a week (at the end i was pretty good, 10 km in 36 40) and than started weight lifting again.

new years resolution are to run more again

What's the max level?
#16 to #15 - installation (01/10/2016) [-]
There is a soft level cap, but you can bypass it with a special potion called "steroids"
User avatar #5 - admiralen ONLINE (01/09/2016) [-]
I dont think you gain agility from jogging though, agility is about speed, jogging should give stamina
User avatar #18 to #5 - kennyh (01/10/2016) [-]
Probably gives both. I imagine the avid jogger is more agile than the average couch potato.
User avatar #20 to #18 - admiralen ONLINE (01/10/2016) [-]
Agility is more explosiveness you know
Jogging should be like maybe 1 agility point for every several stamina ones
Its like working out with heavy weights and few reps against working out with light weights and many reps, one will give you strength the other will give you stamina staminaish anyway, it gives your muscles stamina so to speak
#38 to #20 - vegasstoner (01/10/2016) [-]
but what if you're running sprints on the treadmill? kind of silly. but possible. 1 min max speed bust. 3 minutes 3 mph...repeat.

i dunno. i dont assume what people would sound like when i see them, just registered as a bit of a missmatch. i guess there's just a bit more grumble to your voice then i would have expected. if that makes sense. and i have no idea what an lsype is

also i didnt finish listening to your story...i pulled up the video out of curiousity. but i dont want to dump 11 minutes into it...dont get me wrong, its not like i have anything better to do. i mean i'm on FJ afterall.

Simple clear goals and improvements like a leveling up system would make everything in life so much easier. All the hours we spend grinding in games watching that little xp metre fill up to get something minor could be spent on something actually useful. It's not as simple as just doing it if that's what some of you want to say. It's hard to remain motivated when you can't notice improvements.

Honestly if life was like a videogame and god was the creator and we could request patches and stuff, that would probs be the best thing ever, why can't a maybe existing god be cool for once, they don't need dramatic backstories, no, they just need to make the world a good place when people don't listen and patch the glitches
