season 1 establishes a lot of character relationships so it is important to watch just for that. luckily, season 1 is only 6 episodes and the second season is almost instantly amazing .

you probably didn't make it past season 1 did you? Its generally accepted that season 1 was trying way too hard to be the office, with a female Michael Scott, and therefore sucked. Season 2 and on is amazing with almost every character having their moments to shine. Ron is really the only character who was perfect right from the beginning.
