i lost my cat of 18 (yes apparently cats can live that ******* long) in February. im 19 so ive literally had her since i can remember, i can't tell you how to grief, because we all do it in different ways, but i know the funny part of life helps with a lot of things
I had a cat that lived over 25 years, we don't know how old he was but he was but I always told people he was around 28, the vets were blown away and he was a record holder for our state I think.
You should give him a viking funeral. Long boat on fire, big feast afterward, the whole shindig. This is not a joke. I'll even buy the boat if you like, just have to wait till I get pain on Tuesday next week.
My dog that our family saved from an abusive neighbor had to be put down like 2 weeks ago, he had a lymph node cancer and it finally brought him to the point where life wouldn't be that great... I remember bringing him home in my arms when I was in first grade, even though he peed all over me cause that's what he did when he was scared I still loved him so much. I'm 20 now and so he was around for almost 12 or 13 years I can't remember... feels bad man... when I was younger he was my thunder buddy... I was terrified of thunder until like 15 and when loud thunder came around we would both run and hide in the bathtub for some reason...
Had to put my dog chewy down he was 21 and I'm 21 he was born 3 days after me April 9th my parents got him for me so we could grow up together I miss him very much
Genuine hug from me to you. I've never in my 20 years NOT had a dog, and I've lost many. It'll suck, but you'll survive. You'll have no bad memories of your companion. <3
My cat is hitting right around 16 now and I've had her for a very long time. She was rejected as a kitten from her mom but I took care of her. She is slowing down and losing her hearing but according to the vet she is in tip top shape. I've actually thought of the day I had to put her down and I can honestly say that I can't bare to think about it. It brings me to tears and makes me want to just hug her. q.q
When I was 9 I had to have surgery on my neck, and when i was released from the hospital my dad got me a puppy. She grew up with me all through school and continued into her old age during my early 20's.
Fast forward to release date of Modern Warfare 2. "OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS GAME". I play it so much I forget to even eat. My dad walks in and says,
"Son, I need you to help me dig a hole."
"Alright Dad, after this match."
"It's a hole for Lady. She just died on the porch."
I immediately forget about Call of Duty, set my controller down, go outside, and I dig.
The perfect resting place for the perfect dog. "You were such a good girl, Lady"
im sorry man thats tough
my parents still have my dog
hes 15 right now, tough old man aint going without a fight
every time i come home to visit and see his face light up as he struggles to get up and see me, it makes me happy and incredibly sad thinking of that day when i return and he just wont be there
im 21.... ive had dogs and cats my whole life. we have the same family of mini schnauzers that we have had for the last 30 years. pepper number 1 gave birth do dash, to sadie, (all dogs before bear and now dead) to bear, to grizz, wolfie, angle, spooky, Kodiak, and lilly.
its one big family.
and ive probably had like 50 cats. mostly strays or rescues.
my first cat was johnny.... we was 19 and i was 19 when he passed. but i knew it was comming for a while before....you could tell he was getting old. so it wasnt that bad.
bear, who is the best dog ever..... DOES NOT bark or go potty inside. when he barks, you grab a shotgun! anyway... hes about 12, which is OLD for a schnauzer
my dog griz is gonna be a hard one.... he is MY! dog. first dog of mine i got to pick out from the litter of dogs we had.
he is young right now... about 4.... and hes just HUGE for this type of dog..... long legged and long bodied. he goes HOW RUE RUE! and talks like that.
just a special dog.... he knows im his, and i know he is mine.
